Chapter 3035
Jessica gave Della a fearsome glare.
Despite having heard that Della had turned over a new leaf, she didn't lower her guard as she was still wary of her.
"Are you feeling better?" Della asked with a concerned tone.
Raising her gaze at her, Joan nodded with a smile.
After all, she knew Della's character well.
Although she was stubborn and had committed many unscrupulous deeds, Joan couldn't deny that Della was a woman who was filial to the bone.
Despite ignoring her father often and their constant arguments, she changed drastically once she knew her father was sick.
"I'm fine.Don't worry. How's your dad? Is he getting better?" Joan asked out of courtesy.
Suddenly, Della lowered her head. His condition is not improving.
"Don't worry.I'm sure everything will be fine.Your dad is an optimistic man.Hence, you should also share his optimism"
Joan quickly consoled her.
True, Joan is right.
At this stage, there's no time for me to wallow in my sorrow.
Nevertheless, Della was shocked at Joan's response.
She had expected Joan to berate her or even hit her, and not to have accord her such a cordial response.
At that moment, she understood why Larry was so adamant about marrying Joan.
"Joan, do you hate me?" Della asked softly in a trembling voice.
Joan smiled and shook her head.
There's no point in hating.
After all, it doesn't solve anything in the end.
Instead of drowning oneself in hatred, would it be better to let go and live life according to one's wish.
"The past is water under the bridge, so don't think too much about it.But, there is something I must ask you."
Joan's expression suddenly became serious.
