A Trust-fund Baby novel Chapter 102

Late at night, in the center of Y City, there were the most core members of the Ray Family in a classical architectural complex covering hundreds of mu. At this moment, in the main seat of the hall sat a middle-aged man with half white hair and wearing a suit.

He sat straight and was as dignified and noble as a king. He was Benedict Ray, the master of the Ray family. He was the father of Judson Ray and Catherine Ray. He sat on the chair and Catherine in black coat respectfully stood in front of him. If Benedict did not say a word, Catherine did not dare to say a word.

Benedict had no any expression but said calmly, “So, Judson really likes that woman from the small family in N City?"

Hearing to her father’s calm words, Catherine had cold sweat on her pretty face. She returned from Europe and did not tell Benedict anything about Judson. But Benedict had immense wealth and power in his hands, and if he wanted to know anything, no one could hide it from him! So even if Catherine only stayed in N City for a short hour, Benedict knew about it.

With simple investigation, Benedict found out that Judson had already left SKY City and backed to N City, and also got a marriage certificate with that woman. Benedict called Catherine to ask about Judson, Catherine dare not hide anything.

Catherine bit her lip lower and lowered her head, “Yes, Dad, brother really likes that woman called Diana."

Benedict still did not have any expression or action, but continued to ask, “Have you seen that woman?"

"Not yet, I was in a hurry to come back, and my stay in N City was very short," said Catherine, shaking her head.

Benedict continued, “Diana is a daughter of a small family in N City. Her birth mother Rachel Lane eloped with Diana’s father 26 years ago. Out of rage, the Lane family took Rachel back."

Catherine was surprised, “Diana is a member of the Lane family?"

Benedict nodded, “Yes, but even if she is, her status is far behind from our family."

Catherine instantly understood her father's meaning. At the thought of Judson’s resolute eyes, she felt bitter in heard and said to Benedict, “but Dad, I am afraid brother will only marry Diana, he loves her so deeply!”

Benedict said, “I don't agree."

“Dad!” Catherine felt Benedict’s words incontestable. For the Ray Family, a marriage certificate was of no use. If Diana failed to get the recognition of the family, she absolutely could not enter the family. So Catherine was anxious.
