Linda knew well that she would get involved in numerous troubles and conflicts if she fell in love with Charles. But she was ready to face all of the problems from the day they first met.

"Yes. His father and mother treat me well, " answered Linda.

Violet Xing, Charles's mother, liked Amy Qi a lot and wanted her to be their daughter-in-law, so she wasn't fond of Linda when they first met.

But Violet warmed up toward Linda as time went by. Even though they didn't seem to be very close and would even sometimes squabble over trifles, Linda knew that Violet had already accepted her and wanted to treat her well from the bottom of her heart.

Richard nodded his head with satisfaction. It seemed that Charles had managed to survive the first two tasks.

It lightened up Richard's mood a lot. He glanced at Charles and said, "Okay. Come and sit over there."

Charles walked to Linda and sat down beside her. Placing his hand on her waist, he said, "My Lord, what's the last thing you want me to do?

Please tell me, and I'll get it done."

When he accidentally touched Linda's bulged belly, a waft of joy spread within him.

Linda rested her head on his shoulder. Since she was pregnant, her endurance was not as it used to be. She already felt tired for just sitting there, so she leaned against Charles's chest after he sat down.

"Can you two behave yourselves?"

Richard shook his head after a sigh, but he decided not to stop them. Linda understood that Richard was a little bit conservative, but she thought that hugging was acceptable since she and Charles were going to get married. She thought it was fine to show a bit of intimacy.

"Young Master Mu, I'm very happy that you have passed the first two tests. It means that you have Linda in your heart. However, even though you love Linda very much, there is a chance that you may stop loving her in the future. If you hurt her, I will destroy you. Do you understand?"

Charles nodded his head. Richard's words were full of threats. The serious look on his face made Charles take his words seriously.

"My Lord, please don't worry. I love Linda for all that she is. I will spend my whole life loving her and taking care of her. I will never ever let her get hurt again."

Richard nodded his head again, satisfied.

"Okay then. Let's have dinner first. Then, I'll tell you what the final test is. I just need you to promise me something."

Linda was starving. Most of the dishes were her favorites. When she heard that they could start eating, she picked up her chopsticks and started digging in.

Charles noticed her hurry and shook his head with a smile. He reached over with his chopsticks to fill her bowl with some of her favorite food, and he then got her a glass of warm water from the pot on the side and said, "Could you eat your food more slowly? We have plenty of time."

"I'm starving."

Linda waved her hand and continued swallowing. Charles kept looking at her the whole time.

As expected, Linda started to coughed because she had been eating too fast. Linda coughed so violently that it worried Richard.

Charles placed one hand on Linda's back, patted it, and handed her a glass of water with his other hand. Linda felt much better after she drank some water and continued to eat more of the food.

It obviously wasn't the first time Charles had done something like that for Linda, as he seemed to have expected this to happen.

"Babe, I think the dishes you cook for me are more delicious, " said Linda.
