After Adam finished speaking, he walked away.

Not long after he left, Lisa got a phone call. It wasn't from Adam this time. It was from Robert.

"Where have you been, my dear? What's taking you so long? Are you not feeling well?" Robert said in a soft voice at the other end of the line.

"No, I'm fine. I'm coming back now, " answered Lisa.

Before Robert's call, she had been sitting on the floor, almost crying her eyes out. Robert wondered why she had been gone for so long, so he called her to make sure that she was okay. Lisa managed to stand up from the floor. Her hand as well as her chest were very painful. There was a big, red handprint on her face.

Adam had hit her too hard. Wasn't he afraid that Robert would notice the wound or the handprint?

Robert saw the red handprint on Lisa's face right after she walked back to the waiting room. Her forehead was also bleeding. Although the wound had been cleaned up, it was evident on her face.
