At Beatrice's words, Cecilia and the others flushed bright red. Meanwhile, Beatrice was beyond eager to leave and return to Jadeborough.
Just as Jared was going to leave with his mother, Santiago blocked his path.
Initially, he wanted to entrust Hailey to Jared since the latter seemed to be a decent man. Regretfully, there was a bevy of women by his side then.
However, if Hailey did not leave with Jared, their entire family would end up dead when Brad and Claus came tomorrow.
In the end, he had no other choice but to implore, “I hope you can take Hailey with you, Jared. If she were to stay, she'd definitely lose her life.”
He was familiar with his daughter's temperament and knew that she would never agree to marry Claus. Brad and Claus would surely slaughter them all for that.
“I'm not leaving, Dad. I want to stay and keep you both company.”
Hailey shook her head in demurral.
She liked Jared, but she had never imagined he would have so many women around him. For a moment, she could not accept it.
No matter what, she was the heiress of Violet Cloud Palace. Thus, she was somewhat averse to sharing a man with multiple women.
Unbeknownst to her, all the women by his side were once heiresses as well.
“Let Jared take you away, Hailey. It's meaningless for you to stay,” Roanna coaxed.
Sobbing bitterly, Hailey hugged her mother tightly.
Upon seeing that, Beatrice inquired, “What's going on here, Jared?”
Jared proceeded to tell her the matter about Gate of Thunder's secret realm. A slight frown marred Beatrice's countenance.
“If you have a solution, Jared, do consider lending Mr. Hargreaves a hand,” she appealed.
In truth, Jared had not planned on saving Violet Cloud Palace, for as far as he knew, his mother was imprisoned by Santiago.
