“Hmph! The only reason you can talk to me like this is because I'm showing respect for Abbot Infinides. Do you have any idea what happens when you cross paths with Demon Seal Alliance? If you leave right now, I'll act as if nothing happened. However, Jared must stay,” Gatlin sneered at Catalina.

Catalina, however, gave a cold laugh, saying, “Impossible! I've got Jared's back...”

“You're protecting him? What is he to you that you would defend him? Do you even know that he's the one we, Demon Seal Alliance, are hunting with a hundred-year offering?” Gatlin asked.

“He's my man, so naturally, I have to protect him,” Catalina replied in a subdued manner.

Jared looked at Catalina with a hint of surprise. He hadn't expected her to say something like that.
