“Can someone from level two travel down here to the first?” Jared asked.

“Absolutely,” Flaxseed said. “Not just those from level two—even those from any of the thirty-six levels can show up. But most of them just don't bother. To them, you're nothing more than an ant. Why would they waste time here? Think about it—would you strut around an anthill for fun? What's the thrill in stepping on a bunch of ants? There's nothing to gain for them. And if there's nothing to gain, there's no reason to come.”

“Fair point. But if those from higher levels can visit freely, doesn't that put us all in danger?” Jared asked, clearly uneasy.
