Chapter 1869
館
After a while, he draped the Queen of the Dark Night Islands‘ large robe over
his inadequately dressed wife. Then, he turned to Sarah, lifeless on the
ground, and silently wept.
“There’s no denying she’s dead,” he muttered.
Sarah is gone! In contrast to the circumstances surrounding Claudette, there
is no chance of Sarah’s recovery. I still have her meridians in me.
“You are in charge of the troops. The conflict hasn’t ended yet; therefore, now
isn’t the time for sorrow.” He was promptly reminded by Mackenzie.
He nodded. Then, he carefully carried Sarah’s body and followed Mackenzie
out of the lab.
There were only two hours left until six o’clock in the evening!

“Commander!”
“The commander–in–chief is out! That woman must be his wife.”
“Did he win?”
“He defeated the Dark Night Queen!”
The wounded, broken alliance moaned in agony as they waited in the
corridor, but they excitedly rose upon seeing Emmanuel and his wife.
Emmanuel wore a sorrowful smile. As he was about to speak, Harvey and his
assistants had already hurried over.
“Mr. Wolf Warrior, what happened to Her Reverence?” Harvey asked anxiously.
“She sacrificed herself for me,” Emmanuel replied despondently.
Harvey quickly said, “It’s been less than six minutes, hasn’t it?”
“What do you mean?” Emmanuel asked anxiously.

His advanced medical skills made him think about something horrifying at
the mention of six minutes.
“We have a soul transfer device. There’s still a possibility to bring her back if
she had passed away in less than six minutes and her brain cells haven’t
begun to degrade,” Harvey elaborated.
“Soul transfer?” Mackenzie exclaimed in surprise.
“It’s a brain transplant surgery!” With a shudder, Emmanuel told her. He hadn’t
anticipated Airspace Group to advance to this level.
“You’re correct,” Harvey came right to the chase. “I might be able to help if
you want her to live, but it requires a second person’s sacrifice.”
The surrounding alliance shuddered at these remarks and hastily withdrew.
Nobody desired to be chosen by the commander–in–chief.
Even he was hesitant to choose.

“Stop! Everyone’s life is equally valuable, and Sarah would also oppose this,”
Mackenzie said, her eyes filled with anguish as she bit her lip solemnly.
Harvey was momentarily taken aback while others wondered. Wasn’t she
dead? How could she still express her opinions?
The only person who understood what Mackenzie meant was Emmanuel.
She offered no further explanation to anyone.
From early childhood, Sarah had been treated as a substitute for Mackenzie,
who was the only person who could relate.
Sarah had always wanted to surpass her to prove she was not just a
substitute but a unique individual in her own right.
When she gave her meridians to Emmanuel, her eyes shone with delight and
satisfaction. Her grin before death showed no regret because she would
never accept or live with another person’s physique and features.
If she did so, she would not be Sarah anymore.

She wouldn’t be content living that way. In fact, it would be revolting to her!
“Alright, I understand!” Harvey replied and dared not to offer further advice.
