Mackenzie felt a wave of anxiety wash over her. She had been entrusted with
Sarah’s remains, and the uncertainty surrounding Harvey left her on edge.
She couldn’t decipher his true intentions and feared something might go
wrong.
“He’s on his way too. Should we wait for him?” she asked, her voice tinged
with worry.
Yasmine spoke bluntly, “We’re running out of time. If we don’t leave soon, the
reinforcements from the Airspace Group will catch up with us. If that
happens, we’ll all be lost at sea!”
Emmanuel felt torn by the urgency of the situation. At that moment, Rhett
approached and reported, “Commander, Your Holiness, the alliance is almost
fully aboard. Please give the order to set sail!”
He glanced back at the rapidly boarding alliance. In just a few more minutes, everyone would be on the ship. As the commander, I have to prioritize

“We’ll set sail as soon as everyone is on board,” he decided, though it pained
him to do so.
Mackenzie sensed the conflict within him as she squeezed his hand. I’m
feeling the pain just as much! Sarah had wanted to break free from the
Airspace Group before she passed. How could I let her remain alone in this
place?
“Commander!”
At that moment, a voice speaking Chanaea echoed from the road.
Emmanuel turned at the sound of a peculiar gasoline–powered vehicle
approaching, and his tension eased as he saw Harvey behind the wheel. This
Shoiyan didn’t let me down after all!
“Commander, I apologize for the delay. Transporting Her Reverence’s
remains was difficult, so I arranged for a car. I hope you’ll forgive us for being
late,” Harvey said, bowing slightly.

“Any later and it would have been unforgivable. Get on board quickly!”
Emmanuel urged, signaling Harvey and his assistant to board the ship.

He walked over to the vehicle, looked at Sarah resting peacefully, and sighed
deeply. His eyes reddened as he whispered, “Sarah, I’m taking you home. I
swear I’ll visit your grave often and spend as much time as I can there,
keeping you company as you deserve.”
Mackenzie’s eyes also glistened with tears. I never imagined that the Quillen
sisters, who have fought so fiercely, would end up like this. She took
Emmanuel’s hand and softly said, “Sarah!”
“Darling, we need to go,” Emmanuel didn’t want to create a disturbance or
deepen his wife’s sorrow.
“Okay.”
Mackenzie took his arm, and together they boarded the ship.
“Are you really not coming with us?” A voice suddenly cut through the tension.

Chapter 1879 The Edge of Departure
Scarlet appeared from a hidden spot, sneering at Liana, who had been
waiting there.
Liana was startled.
“If you’re not getting on, then I’m definitely boarding!” Scarlet declared,
flicking her whip and wrapping it around the helm of a nearby ship.
“Lady Scarlet, take me with you!” Liana implored, grabbing Scarlet’s hand at
the last moment.
Scarlet’s smile was cold as she jumped onto the ship with Liana, exchanging
a glance with Rhett. He smirked and pretended not to notice them, turning
away.
The ship’s horn blared, signaling its departure. Although it was still early evening, the surroundings brightened as the vessel left Dark Night Island.
Excitement spread among the passengers. Cheers and shouts of relief filled
the air.
