When Ashton followed Sage into the room again, she was stunned. Hearing 

the gunshot earlier, she thought Deon had killed Emmanuel, and even if that 

were not the case, Emmanuel would still be bleeding profusely from the 

wound.

“Was I hearing things?” she muttered as she looked at Deon and the two 

subordinates lying on the floor, all knocked unconscious!
