Jennifer took a deep breath, got out of bed, and went to wash up, letting cold water run over her face.

The place was quiet. Nothing was like the chaos of her dream.

Jennifer glanced at the calendar on her desk. Her wedding was getting closer. Almost without thinking, she looked down at her belly, which was still ha in these early months.

She finally tore her eyes away and headed out to the hospital.

No matter what, she couldn’t let anything mess up her wedding with Donald.

Donald was supposed to have lunch with Jennifer. However, since Jennifer had a meeting coming up, she asked him to bring her something back, and he agreed.

When Jennifer finished her meeting at a little past two in the afternoon, she saw Donald coming back in a colleague’s car.

She realized that she hadn’t seen his Audi A7 for several days.

“Is your car still under maintenance?” Jennifer asked.

“Yeah. It’s still at the dealership.” Donald licked his lips.

Jennifer asked, “It’s been ages. The wedding will be the day after tomorrow. Will your car be ready? What about wedding cars?”

Donald said, “Don’t worry. I’ve got it all covered. The main wedding car is a Rolls–Royce, and the rest are Mercedes G–Classes and Range Rovers. My car is not that new, so I figured we should just leave it.”

Jennifer didn’t think much of it. She had never even sat in a Rolls–Royce before. She asked, “Don’t tell me you borrowed all those cars from your cousin.

Donald gave her a helpless smile. “Of course not. It’s easy to rent cars these days. They’re all from a rental company.”

“Alright. I thought you got them from your cousin,” Jennifer said.

Donald shook his head. “I owe Jonathan a lot. He helped out with our engagement. I can’t ask him to pay for the wedding, either. I really don’t want to

trouble him again.”

Jennifer had no idea that Donald had begged Jonathan to help her get out of trouble at the hospital before.

She invited Genevieve, but Genevieve refused. In the end, Jennifer just invited a few classmates and some seniors.

That afternoon, Donald went around to each department to make wedding invitations. His coworkers all offered their congratulations to him and Jennifer.
