Chapter 77
“Misunderstanding? What kind of misunderstanding?” Natalie was genuinely furious. “He is Lysander, and his father is involved. Do you really think he would look twice at someone from a small family like yours?
“Honestly, the men from the Hawthorne family are no good. Don’t trust him too guch. Ife’s capable of doing such things. Even if you end up marrying him, he might keep a few mistresses on the side.”
Elara thought about Lysander. “He wouldn’t do that, would he?” Although she wasn’t entirely sure what kind of person he was, he always gave her a reliable vibe.
“You trust people too easily. No wonder they call you love–struck, Honestly, why even get married? Why not focus on building a career and enjoy your own life?” Natalie suggested.
“You’re right,” Elara replied, trying to navigate Natalie’s words, “Lysander said he was coming over, so I’ll go down and wait for him.
Arguing with Daphne wasn’t going to help. It was better to get a straight answer from Lysander.
Natalie followed Elara downstairs. Jacqueline had also come out of the party with Daphne.
Jacqueline looked at Daphne and asked. “Daphne, you really know Lysander, right?” For some reason, after Natalie’s outburst, she felt uncertain and couldn’t help but want to confirm with Daphne.
Daphne replied. “My boyfriend is coming over. I’m going to tell him.
“Your boyfriend? Can I meet him?” Jacqueline asked as she wondered, ‘Oh my god! Her boyfriend is Lysander. I must see him!”
Seeing the eagerness on Jacqueline’s face, Daphne nodded. “Sure”
Elara and Natalie exited the hotel. Natalie was still furious about Daphne’s bullying. “When you see Lysander, don’t give him.
time. Just break up with him. Got it?”

Elara said, “Let’s ask first.”
“Soon, he’ll charm you with just a few words again.” Natalie had never met Lysander but had no good impression of him whatsoever.
Elara thought Lysander wasn’t there yet and was about to call him when she suddenly heard someone call out, “Here, Elara.” Elara turned around to find Lysander standing right in front of her. He looked completely different from his previous photos,
After some time apart, Lysander had cut his hair short into a buzz cut, and his complexion was a bit more tanned. Yet, he was still handsome,
It was said that a buzz cut was the ultimate test of a man’s attractiveness, and with this hairstyle, he looked much more rugged, giving off a raw, appealing vibe.
In truth, Elara had never seen the military version of Lysander before time travel. She hadn’t even laid eyes on him before she died.
The only version Elara had seen after time travel was during his middle school years,
Elara stared at Lysander, wondering if he had looked like this before time travel.
the way
she remembered him.

Would he have been like this at that time? Elara thought to herself, No! Perhaps Lysander in his thirties would be even more rugged than he is now.”
She couldn’t imagine it. But now that Elara saw Lysander, she found it hard to look away as if she were experiencing a time travel moment, encountering that person again.
Natalie, upon seeing Lysander, was momentarily taken aback by his handsomeneg
Natalie had encountered plenty of pretty boys who never exercised and avoided the sun, but a man like Lysander’s type was a first. He simply had the perfect foundation.
“You must be Lysander, Natalie said, her tone less assertive than before. With someone like him, it was easy to understand at bit of Elara’s love–struck mentality.
“Yes,” Lysander replied.
Elara introduced, “This is my cousin, Natalie Jarvis, the daughter of Uncle Harold.”
Lysander stepped closer to Elara. “I think I just heard her suggest that you break up with me.”
For a moment, Natalie was at a loss for words. Although Lysander’s expression was stoic, embodying the image of a steel–like man. Natale felt as if he were almost complaining.
“Well, um, I was just joking… You two carry on,” Natalie said, eager to avoid trouble, and hurriedly stepped away
Once Natalie was a good distance away, Elara turned to Lysander, gazing at him. “You got a haircut?”
Lysander touched his head. “Does it look bad?”
As he spoke. Lysander looked at Elara, seemingly worried that she might find it unappealing.
“It looks great,” Elara reassured him. “You look good no matter what.”
Hearing the compliment, Lysander smiled. “As long as you like it, Elara.”
hile they chatted, the two men who had come with Lysander stood nearby, stepping back a bit. They felt somewhat uncomfortable, witnessing the intimate exchange between the couple.
‘Mr. Hawthorne’s so happy, unlike us, a bunch of single guys, they wondered.
Just then, Jacqueline walked out. “Hey, Elara!”
Seeing Elara with a man, engaged in what looked like a cozy conversation, Jacqueline’s expression changed slightly. While nothing inappropriate was happening, it certainly didn’t look innocent.
Elara’s gaze shifted to Jacqueline. She had almost forgotten about the whole situation with Daphne. Initially, she planned to bring Lysander upstairs with her, yet Elara hadn’t expected Jacqueline to come out alone.
Jacqueline glanced at Lysander, who was facing away from her. She could only see a tall guy from behind. Since all the photos
she’d seen of Lysander featured him with long hair, Jacqueline didn’t make the connection.
Instead, Jacqueline sneered. “Weren’t you bragging about how your boyfriend is Lysander? Is that act over now?”
Elara found it ridiculous. “What are you even doubting?”
“You’re really shameless.” Jacqueline retorted. “Daphne considers you a friend, yet you’re trying to pursue her boyfriend. We almost fell for your little trick!”
Upon hearing Jacqueline call Elara shameless, Lysander’s expression quickly turned icy. He turned to Jacqueline and asked,
