After divorce I am a billionaire novel Chapter 1138

Chapter 1138 Mr. Callahan Wants To Be Romantic

"Mr. Ulsens, what's bothering you? Mrs. Callahan can't cure illnesses. Should I call a doctor for you?"

"No, I just want Mavis. Seeing her will make me feel better."

Moore frowned tightly and looked very uncomfortable.

Seeing this, the nursing worker had to go to the next room and wake up Mavis to come over.

"Moore, how do you feel? What's bothering you?"

Mavis walked quickly and sat down by his bed.

Moore turned his head and whispered, "Mavis, I want to move back downstairs."

She was puzzled. "What's wrong? Is it uncomfortable living here?"

"I can't sleep here well anymore. And now that I'm disabled, the size of the room doesn't matter to me."

As he spoke, a hint of sarcasm flashed across his lips before disappearing.

"Don't talk about yourself like that. You'll recover," Mavis scolded him seriously.

"I was joking with you Mavis. Actually it's because I really can't sleep in this room anymore. I have a new problem - bed recognition - so please put me back in my old bed in the regular ward where I can sleep soundly."

He insisted on moving back downstairs and Mavis couldn't persuade him otherwise so she had no choice but to compromise with him.

At Moore's urging, the nurse helped him move back downstairs overnight. If they had known earlier that it would be like this, they wouldn't have bothered Moore at all.

"Are you satisfied now? It's already late. Get some rest. If there is anything, call for help from either an attendant or directly ask for me."

Overwhelmed by drowsiness, Mavis couldn't help but yawn causing a tear drop at the corner of her eye due to exhaustion.

"Mavis, I have one more thing: let's fire this attendant too. I really don't like strangers taking care of me."

Maviz opened her mouth but ultimately said nothing; nodding instead.

Last time, the doctor specifically reminded them not only take care of Moore's body, but also pay special attention towards his emotions. The attendant being fired meant she would have personally stay up all night watching over him.

The regular ward was too small without any comfortable sofas or beds. Mavis simply sat on a bench outside in the corridor .

Soon, drowsiness overwhelmed her again.

"You foolish woman."

Anthony waited half day inside his hospital room without seeing anyone around. He went next door looking for her only then did he find out that troublemaker-Moore- moved down stairs.

He hurriedly came down stairs only finding out she was sleeping on a bench outside.

Although grumbling discontentedly under his breath, he gently picked up princess-like sleeping beauty afraid he might disturb her sweet dreams.

"Hiss."

Just as he exerted force, Anthony felt pain from tearing wounds.

Despite this, he still held her tightly in his arms.

In the hospital room, the little one had already fallen asleep on the couch.

Anthony gently placed the woman in his arms on the bed and then picked up Alistair and put him on the bed as well.

Unlike a regular hospital room, this VIP room had a large bed, with a layout similar to that of a presidential suite.

He touched his wound and then poured himself a glass of warm water. Looking at the sleeping faces of mother and son, he suddenly felt an indescribable sense of happiness. It was strange but wonderful.

After ten minutes or so, Mavis slowly opened her eyes and sat up abruptly.

The environment around her had changed for a moment which made her feel uneasy until she saw Anthony. Then she felt more at ease knowing where she was - in his hospital room.

Anthony put down his glass of water. "Be quiet so you don't wake my son."

What did he mean by "my son"?

It was clearly their child whom she carried for ten months! How could he say such things?
