After I left, the twin Alphas went crazy novel Chapter 120

I blinked, taken aback. She had actually said it. The ugly truth I’d sensed but never fully believed until now was out in the open.

She wanted me to fail simply because she could not stand the idea of my success.

But her confession also confirmed one thing: she was afraid of the possibility that I might succeed.

"Funny," I replied, my voice low but steady, "I was just about to say the same thing." I stepped to the side, ready to leave. "We'll see what happens with the President's Medal tomorrow."

Linda’s smug grin wavered, but she quickly recovered, grabbing my arm as I tried to walk away.

I didn’t struggle, simply looked at her with calm indifference.

With my free hand, I pointed toward the wall-mounted security camera above us.

"I know what you're trying to do, Linda. But if you’re going to set me up, maybe don’t do it in front of faculty cameras."

Her grip on my arm tightened for a moment, and she glared at me with open frustration.

Then, with a huff, she released me, clearly displeased. I could tell she wanted to do more, to push me further, but the presence of the camera had forced her hand.

"You're so arrogant," she sneered. "But your so-called 'bright future' won’t be as secure as you think. You’re a nobody, Sophia, and soon everyone will see that."

I gave her a cool look as I adjusted my jacket. "That’s where you’re wrong, Linda," I replied evenly. "No matter what dirty tricks you pull, my future doesn’t depend on you or anyone else."

The next day, as I was about to leave for school, I was surprised to see Ethan waiting in the living room, sitting calmly with a cup of coffee in hand.

Normally, he was already gone by this time, busy with his duties as one of the pack’s key figures.

His days often started early and ended late, so I was used to the house being empty in the morning.

But today, there he was, looking impeccably dressed in a sharp, navy-blue suit that accentuated his tall, athletic frame.

His white shirt was perfectly pressed, the silver cufflinks gleamed, and his dark hair was styled back with just a hint of casualness.

Ethan had always had an imposing presence, but today, he looked particularly dashing.
