Ryan’s tears splattered on the floor beneath him. “I regret it,” he mumbled. His voice cracked, raw with sorrow. “I regret everything.”
Linda stared at him in disbelief.
This was the man who had stood beside her, plotted with her, promised to build their future together. But now, here he was, crumbling, confessing, betraying her without a second thought.
“You want answers?” Ryan’s voice broke through the tense air. His gaze dropped to the floor, as if speaking the words out loud was a punishment he deserved. “I’ll tell you anything. Arman… it was Arman. He was the one behind everything.”
Linda’s breath hitched, her disbelief turning to panic.
“Ryan, what are you doing?! You’re lying!” She struggled against the ropes that bound her, but there was no escape. Her voice grew frantic. “You know Arman has nothing to do with this!”
But Ryan continued, ignoring her pleas. “Both of us were obsessed with Linda,” he muttered. “But Arman… he was the one pulling the strings.”
The door creaked open, and Arman entered, his face grim, his eyes cold as ice.
The room fell silent as the warrior escorts behind him forced him forward.
He cast a glance at Ryan, disgust curling his lips into a sneer.
“I’ve promised to share Linda with you,” Arman growled. His voice was deep, rumbling like distant thunder. “Do you think you can control Starpack without my help, Ryan? Do you dare to betray me out of envy?”
Ryan kept his head down, his body sagging as if the weight of his sins had finally crushed him.
His voice was weak, barely audible. “Was it you who helped me?” he murmured bitterly. “It wasn’t you… it was—”
Before Ryan could finish, Arman cut him off with a sharp laugh, cold and venomous.
“Yes, it was Sophia who helped you. But she’s dead now, isn’t she? And who was it that arranged her death? The man who contacted those bastards, who had her gang-raped to death? That was you, wasn’t it? You, Ryan.”
Ryan’s body began to shake violently. His mind seemed to be unraveling, torn apart by the weight of the truth.
“No, no!” he whimpered, his voice breaking. “I loved her! I loved Sophia! I didn’t mean for her to die, I just wanted to teach her a lesson… I loved her… I loved her!”
His words twisted Into a manic scream as he lurched toward the lifeless body on the ground — my body.
His tears flowed freely now, staining his cheeks. “Please,” he sobbed. “I regret it! I regret it! Give her back to me!”
