"Oscar?" Lillian uttered with her hand clasping the phone tight. His call made her heart racing.

Lillian had no idea what Oscar called her for. With some expectation and distress, she answered it though it torture her at the same time.

"Is Una awake?" asked Oscar, sounding worried. His words of concern for her daughter made Lillian feel depressed.
