Aveline hesitated and said, “But I’ve never attended such an event. I’m afraid I might make mistakes.” 

Russell replied, “No worries, you just need to look beautiful.” 

Aveline nodded. “Alright, just promise not to scold me if I mess up.” 

Russell chuckled softly. “I promise I won’t.” 

Aveline continued packing her things. She didn’t have much; everything fit into one suitcase. Once she was done, she paused for a moment, feeling a bit dazed. 

After living here for so long, this was all she had?

A faint bitterness crossed her eyes as she zipped up her suitcase and carried it out
