Aveline responded, “I just gave you a choice. The outcome is all your own decision, so there’s no need to thank me. 

Sidney took out his phone. “Can I add you on WhatsApp? We’ll be colleagues from now on, and it’ll be easier to contact you.”

Aveline nodded in agreement and took out her phone, letting him scan her QR code. 

After they added each other, the elevator arrived. Sidney stepped inside and waved goodbye to her. 

Aveline returned to the office, where Maria was leaning against her desk, looking at her with amusement. “What’s going on?”
