“Even if she was just a regular guest of the Carter family instead of Kenny’s girlfriend, you still shouldn’t. subject her to such treatment!” Celeste reprimanded Skyler.

Skyler was already upset. Now that Celeste wasn’t showing her any form of courtesy, her feelings overwhelmed her and she started crying.

Upon seeing her tears, the disdain on Celeste’s face became even more apparent. Since the dawn of time, all phony hypocrites like Skyler could do was cry!

Zayn was fuming from watching the intimacy between Kenan and Willow. He stared fixedly at their interlocked hands but still pulled Skyler into his embrace.

“Cece, Skyler was just looking out for Kenan. She was only worried that he’d be deceived by those with ulterior motives!”

Kenan didn’t care about what Zayn had to say about him, but he couldn’t stand any badmouthing that was directed at Willow.

He scoffed coldly, “Don’t be so sure that I’m the one being deceived, Zayn! Don’t come crying to me in the future when you’ve been played!

After Kenan had finished talking, he couldn’t be bothered to deal with Zayn anymore. He pulled Willow back to their seats enthusiastically.

“You fed me earlier, so now it’s my turn to do things for you, Willow! Here, open wide.” He picked up a piece of fish and carefully picked out any bones before feeding her a mouthful of delicious fish.

Willow wanted to tell him that he didn’t need to, but opening her mouth only made things easier for him. What was she suppo. d to do when the fish was already in her mouth? Spit it out?

He gripped onto an object subconsciously. He didn’t even notice that he was actually gripping the glass in front of Skyler. In fact, the glass had cracked within the palm of his hand. He hadn’t even noticed that he

The maid respectfully presented the roses to Willow. “You look beautiful today, Ms. Sanford.”

Willow accepted the bouquet with a quizzical expression. Why did someone send her roses out of the blue? What was going on?

She hadn’t figured out what was happening when another maid entered the room with yet another bouquet of roses. Like the previous maid, she presented the roses in hand to Willow.
