(Alexander’s POV) 

I stumbled out of Scarlett’s territory, my hand pressed tightly to my neck where blood still seeped from the shallow wound. The humiliation burned 

more than the pain. My head pounded, Mason’s howl of fury echoing louder than my thoughts. His rage bled into mine, fueling the fire clawing at my chest 

as i trudged to my car 

Jason was already waiting at the pack house gates when I arrived. The moment I stepped out of the vehicle, his expression darkened. His eyes scanned me, widening in alarm as he took in my disheveled appearance and the blood staining my shirt. 

“Alphar” he exclaimed, rushing to my side. “What happened? Are you injured? Who did this?” 

I shoved him aside with more force than necessary, my jaw tight. “Not now I snapped, stalking past him toward the doors. I couldn’t deal with his 

questions, not with Mason snapping and growling in my head like a caged beast. 

Jason hurried after me, his voice hesitant but insistent. “Did Scarlett refuse? Did she did she attack you

“Do I look like I’m joking?” I barked, spinning around to face him again. “This wolf didn’t even have to fully shift. He was partially shifted, Jason 

Partially. And he had Mason pinned down like a pup before I could even register what was happening.” 

Jason’s mouth opened and closed, but no words came out. I could see him trying to make sense of what I was saying, 

“He’s dangerous,” I continued, my voice lowering dangerously. “You should’ve seen him. He claimed Scarlett like she was already his. Her scent was 

all over him, Jason I practically spit the words out, the memory of that Alpha’s arms around her making Mason claw furiously within me. 1 need you to 

find out everything about him. Who he is. Where he came from. What he wants” 

Jason hesitated, “Scarlett’s always been so careful. She’s never shown ties to any other wolf, Alpha. Are you sure 

“Enough” I snapped, cutting him off. “Do what I said, Jason. Find him. Now” 

Jason nodded stiffly, sensing the edge of my temper. “Yes, Alpha” 

I took a steadying breath, forcing Mason back as I continued toward the house. But even as Jason left, the tension didn’t leave me. 

I reached the doors only to be overwhelmed by Grace’s desperate mindink
