MADELEINE
Today is the day for the crowning ceremony, where I officially become Noah’s Queen.
The last month has been incredible, with pack members and other packs celebrating that the moon goddess sent back Olivia. That I had been the one willing to make a sacrifice so our world could have her back was no secret either.
Packmembers would hug me when they saw me, thanking me. But it already made me realize how loved she was in our world. And I understand why she had been the front figure for changing many things in our world for the female wolves.
Specifically, one law had been changed from her hard work. No, she, the wolf, can no longer be denied the chance to train and learn to defend themselves. And they can no longer be denied the opportunity to become a warrior simply because of their gender.
I am in the bedroom when I hear the front door open, and I can hear several sets of heels entering. I look out from the room and see them all. Olivia, Mom, Rose, Juliette, and little Alina are coming in. Olivia is carrying a bag with her. But I am more focused on the fact that my mom is here.
“We're here to help you for the day, and I thought having your mother and sister would help you relax,” Olivia says, and Mom hugs me.
“Thank you. I am so nervous.” I admit.
“It will all be okay, and the moon goddess has chosen you as Noah’s mate.” Your soul wouldn’t fit if you weren't the right woman to be his queen. Mom says, and Olivia nods her head.
“Your mom is right.” She says, and I smile.
For the next couple of hours, I showered, had my hair and makeup done, and also had a manicure. Rose was helping me zip up my custom-made dress, and when I looked in the mirror, I couldn't recognize myself.
“Something is still missing,” Olivia says, and she starts looking in her bag, finding a large jewelry box, and smiles at me.
“I wore this set during my crowning ceremony, and I hope you will like it.” She says as she opens the box.
I am stunned. Inside, it features a necklace with twelve red diamonds arranged in a pattern of small leaves formed from clear diamonds and a set of earrings with the same design but featuring two red diamonds in each earring. And last, a matching bracelet.
“It is beautiful. I have never seen anything like it.” I whisper.
“It was custom-made for the red diamonds to be the symbol of the blood moon pack,” Olivia says.
