Alvera,the Revenger,Married the Billionaire novel Chapter 35

She looked at him with pain in her eyes.

Roland frowned and looked away.

Alvera smiled. "Since we're chatting, can I ask you a question?"

"Go ahead."

"When did you start going out with Andrina?"

"What do you mean?"

"Your relationship."

He thought for a moment. "Four years ago."

Four years ago... she hated that year.

"Why were you attracted to her?"

"She has a great body." He raised his eyebrows, not at all shy about the topic.

"Alright," Alvera said disdainfully. "All men are the same. You like a woman's body, simple as that."

"What do you know?" He glanced at her coldly. "I started going out with her because of guilt."

...

Guilt? Alvera sensed something unusual going on.

"What do you mean by guilt?" she asked.

Roland continued to glare at her coldly as he walked to the sofa and sat down.

She shifted uncomfortably under his gaze. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to."

"I was drugged. Andrina lost her virginity to me."

Alvera was shocked for a moment.

So Roland's love for Andrina was all based upon guilt.

She looked at him for a while, then lay down.

"What? The conversation's over?"

Alvera turned over and looked at him. "Is there anything else you want to talk about?"

"When did you know you could save Andrina?" he asked.

Alvera smiled. "I thought I answered that last time."

"Your weren't honest then," he said. "I want your full honesty."

Alvera's expression was cold as she said sadly, "I've always known. My mother had always told me that I'm the backup organ supplier for Andrina. Anything she needs, blood, liver, even my life, I have to give unconditionally."

"Is it true that you were raised by the Earhart family when you were young?"

Alvera nodded. "Yes, it's true."

"Then why did you push Andrina off the stairs four years ago?" he asked. "You grew up with her. What made you do that?"

Alvera's heart sank.

She was quiet for some time before looking at him with a smile. "It's been so long, I can't remember that. Mr Francois, it's time for bed, I'm tired."

Roland studied the sadness in her expression, suddenly feeling sad for her himself.

He watched as she closed her eyes and turned her back to him.

He did not insist on her answer.

At least she had been much more honest tonight than she had ever been with him.

Roland stayed with her every night for the six days she was hospitalized.

For a fleeting moment, Alvera actually had the impression that he was not as bad as she had thought.

Unfortunately, he was, and he proved it to her all too soon.

...

Roland did not turn up when she left the hospital, because Andrina was also discharged on the same day.

He had gone to pick up Andrina.

Samuel helped her with the paperwork and sent her home.

As Alvera walked towards the door, she noticed that someone had put up several CCTVs around the house.

The path leading from the entrance of her house to the beach was also lined with streetlamps that weren't there before.

She was surprised. Who would do this?

...

In the house, Becky had prepared a lot of nutritious food for her.

Alvera said with a smile, "Becky, do you know who set up the CCTVs outside?"

"The people who installed them said Terry arranged it," Becky said. "They came the day before yesterday."

If it's Terry, then he must have done it under Roland's orders.

Becky had a son who was in his final year in high school, so Alvera let Becky leave in the evening so that she could go home and care for him.

...

After Becky left, the villa felt empty and lonely.

Alvera finished her shower and went to her room alone.

She lay on the bed, turned on her laptop, put on her earphones and started watching a foreign movie.

Outside, Roland rang the doorbell. He could see light in the upstairs window, but no one answered the door.

He opened the door with his key and went upstairs.

He pushed open the bedroom door gently and saw Alvera laughing delightfully on the bed.

Roland crossed his arms and leaned against the doorway, watching her.

After finishing the movie, she turned off her laptop.

As she got out of bed to put it on the table, she suddenly saw the figure standing in the doorway.

Shocked, she screamed and backed away as the laptop fell out of her grip and landed on the ground.

When she finally realized that it was Roland, she asked despondently, "Why are you standing there? You scared me."
