Always Been Yours (Tessa and Nicholas) novel Chapter 1235

“I think we should wrap up the shoot for today, director, Nicholas said. “My wife is tired and needs rest. We can continue filming tomorrow.” He stated his intentions in a very blunt manner. Hearing that, the director hesitated.

Knowing what the director was hesitating about, Nicholas continued, “The Sawyer Group will take full responsibility for the fees that come with renting the set for another day, including paying for the workers. The company will pay for it all.”

With that offer, the director realized that it would seem rather inhumane of him if he continued to reject Nicholas’ suggestion. Tessa’s condition was rather unique in the first place. That was understandable. Even so….

“Mr. Sawyer, I do not have the final say on this. Still, I will pass the suggestion on. I think they will understand Miss Reinhart’s difficulties. They will surely not blame this on her, so you can bring her back to rest now.”

“Thank you.”

After giving a few polite thanks, Nicholas turned and returned to his family. When Tessa saw him enter the break room, she smiled and teasingly asked, “How did the negotiations go?”

“We’ll be taking a break this afternoon. Filming will continue tomorrow.”

He then lifted her into his arms and strode out of the room. Upon seeing that, Gregory hurried after them, and Alice did so too.

As for the other crew members, they were sick with envy when they saw that.

This was especially true for several of the female crew members. “Goodness, Mr. Sawyer is just so hot,” one of them exclaimed with starry eyes and her hands clutching at her chest.

“Yeah, particularly when he was negotiating with the director. He was so cool!” another said. “Mr. Sawyer has all the qualities of my ideal boyfriend. He’s absolutely perfect.”

“I envy Miss Reinhart so much. She’s so lucky. and Mr. Sawyer dotes on her so much.”

“Did you realize that when we were filming, he didn’t look away from her for a single second?”

Many of the women on set began to compare their boyfriends and husbands against Nicholas. The end results made them feel even more dejected than before.
