“Okay, my little butler, I’ll rest now.” She stretched out her hand and pinched Gregory’s chubby cheek affectionately, and Gregory smiled sweetly in return. Mommy listened to me, so she loves me the most.
Thinking of this, he turned his head and looked at his father proudly, then turned back and said to his mother seriously, “Mommy, you have to take good care of yourself and my little sister in your belly. Don’t make me worry about you.”
Tessa looked at him pretending to be prudish and thought of teasing him. “Do you prefer a sister?”
“Yes, I want a younger sister who is as good looking as you.” Gregory nodded happily. Tessa blinked, then said deliberately. “But I want a little boy who is as good-looking as you. Is that okay?”
“Of course. As long as you’re the one giving birth to him, I will like him,” Gregory replied sweetly.
Tessa felt warm after hearing his childish but pure response. “Yeah… I like you too.”
Hearing this, Gregory smiled happily. The mother and son laughed and bantered for a while, then Tessa put Gregory to bed.
During this time, Nicholas looked at the two of them with a gentle gaze, feeling very fulfilled and happy in his heart.
Soon, Gregory fell asleep. Tessa was about to tell Nicholas to rest, but she found that he had picked up Gregory and was about to send him back. She hurriedly stopped him and persuaded with amusement, “Let Greg sleep here tonight, or he’ll be upset with you again when he wakes up tomorrow.”
“He doesn’t sleep properly. I’m worried that he will accidentally hit you in the stomach.”
Nicholas solemnly found an excuse to refuse, and then left with the boy in his arms. Tessa watched Gregory being taken away, her gaze full of helplessness and happiness.
