“Sounds good. You don’t have much to do at home anyway. You should help with Nicholas’ work at the company so he will have time for Tessa
Still, she gave Kieran a worried look and reminded him, “You hear that? Don’t bother him with work stuff. If you have anything you don’t know or can’t solve, just go to your dad. Tessa’s baby is the focus of our family now.”
“I know. Leave the company to me and Dad. Nicholas can stay at home with Tessa.” Kieran nodded obediently.
Tessa was extremely touched by their conversations, especially when Tobias volunteered to come out of retirement to manage the company just so that Nicholas could take care of her. That was probably how a family looked like-caring for each other.
As a result, Nicholas worked from home in the following days. When he had time, he would go out for a stroll with her, holding her hands.
One morning, they heard a knock on the door after Nicholas woke up and found Andrew standing out there. He announced with much respect, “Master Nicholas and Young Madam, the medical team has arrived and is waiting downstairs for you.”
“Got it. Tell them to wait for us, Nicholas replied and went back to helping Tessa with her clothes. She looked at the thoughtful man with her soft and smiling eyes. “Isn’t hiring a medical team a little too much?” She knew he had hired the medical team just for her.
He looked into her eyes tenderly. “It’s never too much. I want you and our baby to be safe.” While saying that, he led her to the first floor.
The medical team stood up to greet them. “Hello, President Sawyer and Young Madam.”
Nicholas nodded and addressed them with a somber tone, “I believe Doctor Sloan has told you about it. Your only priority here is to take care of Young Madam. I do not want any accidents before and during childbirth.”
