Chapter 131 A shameful dinner
He
looked at me apologetically. He knew what I meant.
When we both got into
my e
cat, Amber happily told me the name of the restaurant. Hearing the name of the most expensive restaurant in the city didn’t surprise me at all. I turned on the engine, and I drove there.
“Amber, I don’t know if you’ve ever been close to this place, but I can tell you these restaurants won’t just let you sit in.”
She looked at me with a little anger.
“I know this place well. I had dinner here many times, and whoever I was here with always could organise a table immediately. It’s all about money, Gideon.”
I laughed.
“Of course. I nearly forgot that I’m with a very experienced gold digger whore.”
My words apparently made her angry. She looked at me suddenly and her gaze showed me she could have killed me instantly.
“Gideon, I can leave too. And the next day you can deal with our fathers.”
“Oh, I don’t want that, of course. I’m so sorry I hurt your feelings.”
I got out of my car, then I opened the other door. She got out.
“That’s it. Was it so hard?”
“Why the hell do you do this, Amber? For money? How much do you need?”
I asked her with a frown, but she smiled at me seductively.
“Because I want you. You are handsome. I’m not gonna lie. I also love the fact that your family is fucking famous and rich. But I want you so badly. And believe me, soon you’ll beg me to let you fuck me.”
[frowned more.
“But I don’t want you, I don’t want to be with you.”
“Gideon, you are refusing me for a reason. But nothing lasts forever.”
Her smile widened, and she walked to the entrance. I followed her.
“I would like a table for two.” I said to the staff.
“Have you got a reservation, sir?”
“No.”
He looked at me apologetically. I wanted to turn away and leave, but Amber pinched me.
She smiled at the guy.
“We belong to the Sullivan family. I’m guessing you can make space for us?”
I lifted my eyebrows up. How dare she say that both of us are Sullivans?
“Oh, I’m really sorry madam, if you wish to book a table with us, I promise I’ll quicken the procedure… maybe sometime the end of the week?”
“Seriously?” she yelled, like he offended her deeply. “Why am I wasting my time with a clueless nobody? I want to speak to your supervisor.”
That was the point I denied agreeing to step out of the club with her, and i never wanted to
o come here again.

Chapter 131 A shameful dinner
The poor guy didn’t know what to say. His face reddened, and he just nodded. He really called his supervisor.
The supervisor shook hands with me, and he looked at Amber. His gaze told me it wasn’t the first time he saw her.
“Mr. Sullivan, we can give you a table, but that would be an extra cost.”
“Obviously it is. Do we look like we are having a problem with that?”
Amber told him arrogantly. I really wanted to disappear. I never had this shameful experience in my life.
I gave him my card. Fortunately, his face showed me he knew what I felt. I only hoped that she played this each time she came here, therefore they knew I was the victim.
After he gave my card back, he led us to a table. Amber sat down happily. And before the supervisor left us, she lifted her hand up.
“Can I have a glass of Champagne? We are celebrating.”
“What kind of Champagne would you like, madam?”
She told him what brand she wanted, which happened to be one of the most expensive one, and obviously they gave us the entire bottle.
“Amber, change your attitude. What you are doing is humiliating.”
I whispered to her when the guy left. She looked at me.
“Gideon, their job is to serve us. I can’t believe you are so soft”
“No, I’m far from being soft. I just know the word respect.”
She laughed.
I was surprised to see the guy coming back with the champagne so quick. He poured a glass of it for both of us, then he gave us the menu card.
I thought I shouldn’t drink. Not because I was afraid to take her into my bed, but because I didn’t want to lose my mind and ruin everything. But I thought a little alcohol wouldn’t cause a problem. I lifted my glass, ready to drink, when I heard her coughing.
“Gideon.”
She clinked her glass against mine.
“For us.”
I pulled my glass away, then I drank its content at once, and I felt its effect already. She looked at me and frowned.
“What?” I asked.
“You look like shit, Gideon. Didn’t you have a good sleep last night?”
Maybe the champagne was the reason, but I wanted her to know something about me. It had no meaning anymore, anyway.
“You know Amber, last night I had a wonderful sleep. It couldn’t be much more perfect. And do you know why?”
She didn’t even look at me.
“No. Why?”
“Because I slept with my ex–wife.”
She stared at me, and her anger was apparent.
“You know, the reason I’m looking like shit is, a few hours ago, she broke up with me. And that hurt. Because I love her,”
She laughed this time.
