Chapter 134 The beautiful present

The next few days weren’t better at all. I cried myself to sleep. Even if it was easier with Matteo around, the memories and the feeling of loss found me instantly when I had to leave him. Riccardo and Alexandra tried to make me stay in the D’angeli house, but first I didn’t want to ruin their happiness by watching me suffer. Second, I felt I had to be alone a bit. Finally, they understood. They only made me promise I would come to see them every day, even for an hour only. 

I woke up early as usual. The gala was really close. Beth and Gareth were both with me on the ice. My jumps were perfect and I could spin faster, too. The only thing that has been written on my face was my sadness. This was what Beth said, at least. 

When I got in, I started with warming up as usual. When Beth arrived, she looked really excited. She ran to me with a smile. 

“Alice, your dresses have arrived.”

We chose the brand with Alexandra and Beth together. I nearly freaked out when they sent the price back, but Alexandra said sometimes it’s okay t enjoy it if our husband or father is rich. I told Riccardo too, this was maybe a bit too much, but he didn’t even want to listen to me. He just told Alexandra to agree with the price. 

“Are they like we expected?” 

“Oh, both of them are beautiful. I have never seen dresses like th

And she put my pony–tailed hair side to side, like she already planned the style of it.

When we got to Gareth, she smiled and nodded at him. He took the boses, and he opened them. Well, if I say I forgot to clase my mouth, maybe I can tell how I felt. Both of them were mesmerising. 1 indeed never had dresses like these 

The first one was mainly white. Its cleavage reached down to my abdomen. The dress obviously wasn’t open actually, it only looked like that because of the skin brown material which matched perfectly my skin colour. The dress had a lot of silver flitters on, which turned its skirt’s hem to silver, 

The other one was dark green with a really short skirt. That was the dress for my short program. It had the same long cleavage. It was open at my back, and it had beautiful, sparkling silver glitter lower motifs on it. 

They were all handmade, but no one would notice that I was very emotional recently, not wondering why, and I looked at my new dresses with teary eyes. Froudn’t be more grateful for Riccardo and Alexandra 

“Which one do you want to put on

She came with me and I dressed up 

“It couldn’t be more comfortable,” 

Its material was so easy. I felt like I’m nakeil. When I looked at the mirror, I watched myself for a while. It was all perfect.

I couldn’t agree with her more. 

We walked back and everyone looked at me, satisfied. They clapped when I appeared. I couldn’t help but smile. That was the first time, when was honest, since Gideon left. 

On the ice, I performed my short program. I couldn’t land my triple Axel nicely again, but this time, Beth only mentioned it in one sentence.

I practised a bit more, and when Gareth told me happily that day our training cancelled, I felt happy. I liked to train because I didn’t think about my life, but today I wanted to go to the D’angeli house to thank Riccardo and Alexandra 

Before I finished, I asked Beth to take a few pictures of me, then I went to the changing room. I put my dress back in its box nicely, then I put my staff together, and after saying bye to everyone, I left the building. I walked to my car, and I just put everything in its boot, when I heard a familiar voice behind me. 

“Alice.” 

I turned over, and I couldn’t believe she came here to see me. Actually, I did not know why she wanted to see me, but my heart pounded faster when 1 thought maybe something happened to Gideon. I couldn’t take that. 

“Sloane?” 

“Nice to see you 

She said.“Nice to see you, too. Is everything alright? 

She shook her head, which made me shiver and frown.
