Chapter 16 Guilt 

“No, not for that. Don’t be afraid. I just want you to sleep here, that’s all.” 

She still looked at me in disbelief. I patted her place, and the slowly walked there and climbed in the bed. She covered herself and found the farthest part of the bed away from me before quickly falling asleep. I hated to think about what she reminded me of. She was like a house pet, allowed in its owner’s bed, but only on the side, not to disturb. 

I wasn’t tired at all, so I took my phone, and I browsed things till I’ve got something in my mind. If she was an excellent skater, then there must have been some videos about her. I went on the website, and I searched for her name, under figure skating. I thought it would be hard as I didn’t know her surname, but I found many videos of her easily. Her name was Alice Lessard before she became a Sullivan. 

I took my earphones, and I watched them. There were many championships where she competed since she was little, and she got high scores. I didn’t wonder at all. She was amazing. I couldn’t believe that the girl who confidently made those jumps and spins on the ice was the same girl who slept next to me. She was always smiling. She looked so happy. 

They talked about her as one of the best. They talked about her as a talented and sensual figure skater, whose name will be famous for figure skating. Also, they mentioned how well trained and possessed she was, which definitely would lead her on the podium in the Olympic games. 

Not to mention the makeup and those flittered dresses just made her more beautiful. 

There were two other videos where she skated with a young boy, called Lucas Grenier. Apparently, they liked to skate together. When I saw them smiling at each other, 1 felt some unfamiliar anger. And when I saw the guy lifting her up, I felt like I would find this guy if he would have dropped her off. But he didn’t. He seemed to like Alice a lot more, then a skating partner. And that’s made me angry like never. 

I watched a few of those videos, then I also found some that showed what it takes to be a figure skater. They used her to present how hard they worked, how much effort they put into it. 

In some of them she was only a small child, only about five years old, perhaps. I knew she trained a lot, but they have really made this video well. IE made me realise another thing about her. 

Her falls during practice and junior competitions didn’t stop her from working hard until she succeeded in her jumps. 

I could watch those videos for hours, but the feeling of guilt made me stop watching them. 

I was deep in thoughts while I watched her fully covered figure. Behind this tiny but womanly muscular body and behind that beautiful, but always frightened face, there was a fighter. She was a young but strong woman who was possessed and hardworking enough to achieve her dreams. 

There was a person who never gave up. She was still training, which was a good sign. I only hoped she still got that strength inside her. 

I took a deep breath, and I felt like I needed some fresh air. I got up, made sure I wouldn’t wake her up, and I walked out of the room quietly. The lights were on everywhere outside, and I sat down on an outside sofa, trying to take deep breaths to calm myself. 

When I sat there, I heard some noises. I looked in the direction. I saw my dad walking closer to me. He sat down. 

are you not sleeping, son?” 

Why are 

“I can’t sleep. I’m never sleeping this time.” 

“You should take care of yourself better. Me and your mum couldn’t take that if you’d have any health problems.” 

I laughed. 

“Don’t worry about that, dad.” 

“Is Gemma good for you?” 

I smiled and made a face. 

“I’m not talking to her at the moment.” 

My dad looked at me, surprised,

Chapter 16 Guilt 

“What? What happened?” 

“She’s just been too clingy since I got Alice, and that was just too much for me. And also, she is provoking her all the time. Actually, like Sloane said, she ruined that wedding dress too. It wasn’t Alice’s fault, and mum asked Alice to take care of her things, but Gemma also took a few of her clothes last time without asking. They are small for her, probably she damaged them too.” 

“But your mum brought them for Alice. She should make sure those clothes wouldn’t be damaged.” 

“How could she do that?” I frowned. 

“Well, she’ll find a way if you force her to.” 

I couldn’t believe my ears. 

“What do you mean?” 

1 frowned. 

“If you punish her after every occasion, she’ll make sure of that

“What do you mean, punish her?” 

*Use a belt, lock her in. There are many ways to teach her, and you could find a bit of fun in it yourself. You have Gemma, but she doesn’t need to know everything, if you know what I mean.” 

*F*cking hell, dad, you can’t be serious.” 

“Why? She is only a property. We bought her, she is yours. You can do anything with her you want to. She can be your toy, your slave, or anything that 

you want.”
