Chapter 18 Getting closer 

She took her plate, and she followed me. We e sat down and we ate, I loved the food. It was cooked so nicely and it was delicious, When we finished, 1 looked at her. 

“That was so good, thank you.“ 

“You are welcome.” 

“When will you cook next time?” 

“I’ll make dinner.” 

“What time?” 

“Six.” 

“Will you invite me?” 

“Yes, if you want that.” 

I smiled at her, and I expected her to smile too, but she didn’t I couldn’t blame her. 

“What are you going to do later?” 

She shrugged her shoulders 

“I think I’m going to read something.” 

“Do you want to watch a movie?” 

She shrugged her shoulders again. 

“Then come to the living room and join me.” 

“I have to tidy up first.” 

“Okay, I’ll wait for you.” 

For a moment, I thought I would offer to help her, but I quickly changed my mind. Me in the kitchen? That would be funny.

I moved back to the sofa, and she appeared in about a half an hour. She sat down on another one. I expected her to sit closer, but that was fine. I didn’t 

want to push her. 

After dinner, we watched a few movies, till it was time for me to get ready. I really didn’t want to go to the club, as 1 got about a hundred messages and missed calls from Gemma, and I was sure she’d be there. I just didn’t want to see her. Alice was much more interesting to me than her. And I hated to admit that it wasn’t just about ber look, I wanted to know everything about her; I wanted to see her smiling and laughing just like in those videos. 

When I got ready, It was about nine o’clock. I hoped to see her before I left, but I couldn’t find her anywhere, so I knocked on her door quietly. There 

the wasn’t an answer, so I pushed it open and walked into her room. I saw her in the bed. She was sleeping soundly, I smiled. She looked adorable. I pulled the quilt up to cover her, and I left quietly. 

Before I left, I called three guys who I trusted to watch the house, and don’t let anyone enter. 

I only left when they arrived. 

When I arrived at the club, I sat in my car for a little while. I didn’t understand myself at all. She was supposed to mean nothing to me, but I was sure about one thing. I couldn’t endure that if she would get harmed. 

I got out of my car, and I walked into the building using the back entrance. I hoped Gemma wouldn’t notice me. I successfully arrived to my private room. I sat down and I logged into my laptop to get my job done.

Chapter 18 Getting closer 

I finished in about an hour, then I wanted to get something else done, which I had planned since yesterday. I wanted to surprise Alice. I found everything that I needed, just had to make a few phone calls in the morning. 

So, the one thing that was left for me is to go hack home. I wanted to sleep early so I could get up early to get everything done. 

1 sneaked out of the building without someone noticing me. 

I smiled in pride when I sat in my car and I drove hack home. I told my guys to stay around the house just in case. After having a last look at Alice, I went to my bedroom, showered, and went to bed. 

Alice 

I woke up terrified. I had a horrible dream. I found myself locked in somewhere. It was dark and cold, and all I could feel was the fear of death. I shivered while I waited for it.
