Chapter 37 Riccardo 

“Any other details?” 

“Yes. Now that we got the figure skater’s name, we could search for information about her. There are plenty of it on the internet. His wife is from Canada. That is why it’s really interesting how he’s got to know her, by the way. Since I know him, he has never travelled to Canada. Her name is Alice Lessard. Like I said, she is a pretty eighteen–year–old. The other woman called Gemma Wilson. Not much to know about her. She came from a poor family and has been with Gideon for a long time. Some say she’s only with him for his money, but others believe she genuinely loves him.” 

He handed me an envelope. I put it on my table. I wanted to check it later. 

“Anything else?” 

“No, that is all.” 

“Thank you, Carlo. You may leave now.”

He nodded, stood up, and left my working room. I checked the time. It was time for dinner. My son, Matteo, was two years old, lively and happy. Most of the time I was busy, but I always tried to eat with them. 

I put the envelope into my drawer, and I left my working room. 

08:4: 

I lived in a spacious house. I fell in love with Alexandra even more after she gave birth to Matteo. When I held my son for the first time, I decided to treat them both the best I can. 

I bought this house straight after Matteo was born to be our home, and we lived happily in it. 

I stood up, then I left my working room. I knew where to find them this time. Usually, they were out in the garden. 

Alexandra laid outside comfortably on a sofa, reading a book. I still felt horrible to see the marks of her injuries. They disappeared from her face finally, but her left arm and back still had some healing wounds. 

When she noticed me, she looked at me with a smile. Her long red hair was in a ponytail, and her green eyes melted my heart instantly. I walked to her, and she gave me a place to sit down. 

“Is everything alright?” 

“Yes, dear. 

“I saw Carlo leaving” 

“Yes, he just came to see me. He gave me some information about Gideon.” 

She frowned. 

“But Riccardo, 1 told you I’m not sure if it was him. I only saw the car.” 

“Who else would harm you? The Sullivans are our only enemies in LA.” 

“Why are you so sure about that? What about the Devilles?” 

“The Devilles aren’t that stupid to go against me. 

I kissed her forehead. I didn’t like to tell her everything. Even if she used to be a part of this world, I tried to keep her and Matteo out of my business. My gaze moved to my little son, who played in the garden with his puppy. We bought it for him a few weeks ago. 

“Are you ready for dinner?” I asked Alexandra 

“Yes, I get Matteo.” She told me with a smile and kissed my face. We walked into the house together. 

Just like always, we had a good time while we had dinner. After dinner, we put our little one to sleep, and we went to our rooms, we showered, and after we satisfied each other, Alexandra slept in my arms. I just watched her. I still couldn’t get enough of her. But watching her sleeping made me remember another thing. I gently moved her arm that embraced me, trying not to wake her up, and I left the bed. After putting some clothes on quietly, I went

back to my working room. I got the envelope that Carlo brought me. I opened it up. 

There were a few pictures of her from afar while she was skating. She indeed looked pretty, and she indeed looked really young. There were a few pictures of the Sullivan family and also about Gideon. He sat with the blonde woman intimately. That just made me smile. Gideon was still very young- I couldn’t believe that he thought he could fool me 

I took my laptop, and I opened it up. If she was at the gala, then probably she’s got a past career, and therefore there should be everything about her on the internet, just like Carlo said, 

I searched for her name, and there were many searching results. She wasn’t just a figure skater; she was really famous in this sport. There were many videos and fan pages of her. I opened a picture where I could see her from closer. Her face gave me that feeling of seeing her somewhere in the past.
