Chapter 63 New information 

“And that isn’t everything, son.” 

“What else, dad?” I really couldn’t believe what I just heard.. 

“I remembered the name Bianchi from my youth. Bianchi worked for Riccardo’s father.” 

I held my head. That was too much. 

“Don’t say that Alice could be their relative 

*I’m afraid that is the case, son. Now that we know Charles was in dodgy businesses, and we know that Alice’s mum was related to them, we are having pieces of information that need to be put together and we could find the answer. He took a deep breath. “Charles sold Alice to us for a reason. As we couldn’t find him, we have to keep our eyes open.”

“We are on ison. But now, I don’t want you to focus on this case. That is up to you how much you tell Alice, but now you have to be next to her.” 

I nodded. I knew Alice was strong, but I didn’t know how to tell her about her mother. 

“I’m only going to tell her about her mum. But dad, can I ask you something?” 

“Yes, son.” 

“Could we just tell her she passed away from cancer or something 

like that?” 

“Yes, I believe that would be better indeed. I’ll make sure we change the death certificate. 

“Thank you dad.” I sighed. 

He stood up and sat next to me. He put his palm on my shoulder. 

“Son, we’ll get through this. You just take care of your wife.” 

“Of coune, did” I nodded. 

“Oh, and one more thing” 

He took out an envelope from his pocket and handed it to me… 

He turned it over, and I found Alice’s name un 

“We found this in their house. Probably, her mum wrote it. Would you give it to her?” 

“What if this letter contales information?” 

“it doesn’t. I’m sorry.” 

I looked at him. I didn’t like that he read that, but I could understand. 

“I’ll give it to her.” 

After said that, we just sat there for a few minutes quietly, till we could hear Ava shout his name. 

He patted my shoulder once again, and he stood up with a smile to greet Seth and his family. I forced myself to smile, and I greeted them, 

My heart just felt heavier when I saw mum and Alice walking back. What I really wanted to do was just to hold her in my arms, avoiding letting her get hurt again. 

After she greeted them too, motioned to her to sit on my lap. She smiled and nodded. When she sat down, I wrapped my arms around her waist, and the wrapped one of her arm around my neck. 

I kept her like that till lunch. 

Chapter 63 New Information 

While we were eating, I always held her somehow, I couldn’t be without that. I couldn’t be without her. 

I tried to push the bad thoughts away, and enjoy the time with my family. We played with the kids a lot, and after dinner, my dad invited me and Seth to have a drink. I didn’t really want to accept that, but my dad wanted us to stay with them, like we usually did. 

We sat outside and we told everything to Seth too just as we expected, he hadn’t got an idea what could be behind it. We knew nothing about the Bianchis, so I was adrid they did something wrong, and the family tried to save their daughter by hiding her away from here. If that was the truth, and Riccardo got to know about this, he would be eager to catch Alice, to take his revenge for two things at the same time. 

We needed to find that rat as soon as possible, and we had to make him speak. It was late evening when we finally finished talking and went back to the house. 

“Are you still up?” Seth asked Awa, who watched some movie on the soda in her pyjamas. 

But Leah motioned him to leave it. 

“Last round, and we are ready for bed.” She said, 

They played with cards, and it seemed like they enjoyed it. We sat down next to Ava. The movie ended soon, I was deep in thoughts when I felt little Ava leaned her head on my side. I wrapped my arm around her and I cased her head. When the movie ended, they just finished the game, and Seth told the little one she had to go to sleep, but she looked at me. 

“Gideon, can Alice sleep with me tonight?” 

Everyone heard the question, including Alice. I looked at Ava and frowned. 

She made a face. 

*Because Alice sleeps next to me 

“You are selfish.” She commented, and everyone looked at her, surprised, while she stood up and went to her dad. Seth laughed, and took his daughter into his arms, and after she said good night to everyone, they left. 

I led Alice up to our bedroom, and the only spoke when we were inside. 

“For a moment, I thought you let me sleep with Awa.” 

I looked at her and frowned. 

“Why would I do that?” 

“I don’t know. You aren’t too happy today”
