Chapter 89 Heavy duty
“Will you to
tell us what the is going on?”
I took a deep breath. I couldn’t believe that I had to do this.
“We’ve got a little more information about Alice.”
Gideon’s eyes widened instantly, and I could see the fear in them.
“We just visited one of their ex–housekeeper, and we made her speak. Alice was unconscious when she arrived, but she received treatment from Riccardo’s personal doctor and was mostly looked after by Riccardo’s wife,”
I sighed, and I stood up, crossed my arms and walked to the window

“As dad said, Bianchi was the first guy of the old D’angeli. If that woman told us the truth, then probably they only welcomed Alice back. And you know that if Riccardo treats her like one of them, then there is no way he’s going to let you go close to her.”
“What are you talking about?” Gideon asked me in disbelief.
“This can’t be true. Alice would contact us if she could.” My mum started crying this time, and she leaned her head against Gideon’s chest.
“Look Gideon, if I was you. I’d be happy to know she is alive, and I’d move on.”
“Don’t tell me what to do.” Gideon shouted at me angrily. My glance probably told him everything. I didn’t expect him to thank me for what I did for him, but his behaviour made me angry too. I knew I couldn’t win this argument, so I just swallowed my words back, ready to leave.
“Leah, wait for us in the car. I go for Ava. We are leaving.”
I could see Leah was scared too, so she just stood up and left the room hurriedly while I followed her. I ran up to dad’s working room. When I entered, he looked at me, surprised,
“Ara, we are leaving now.”
“What’s the matter, Seth?”
My dad asked me, as probably he noticed I was shaking from anger.
“Daddy, we just came.” Ava looked at me, confused. Probably, she sensed my state which I really didn’t want to, but I felt it’s impossible to hide my feelings.
“Just do what I said, Ava” I tried not going hard on her. But she climbed down from the sofa sadly and kissed her grandpa, then walked to me. “Don’t you want to explain what happened?”
“You can imagine what happened. Thank you for putting this on me ag
again.”
Theld Ava’s shoulder and pushed her gently to leave. She didn’t resist. I saw dad was hurt and confused, but I didn’t care. I never complained, but to make me the guilty one in this situation was too much for me.
When we arrived, Leah looked at me worriedly. After we got Ava into the car, she pulled me into her embrace. I smelled her sweet–scented perfume while I held her tight
“Are you calm enough to drive?” She
asked me quietly.
I sighed and nodded, I let her go, and seeing her worried face, I kissed her forehead.
“Don’t worry, Ava is with us, I’m okay to drive.”
She nodded, and I helped her get into the car as well. She really calmed me down, and even if I was hurt and angry, I told myself to focus on driving.

Chapter 89 Heavy duty
I never saw Seth to be angry like that. I knew it was hard for him too, but I only let him do that because they weren’t just brothers, but it seemed like they were good friends too. The way he thanked me, told me he had enough, but he never told me he was tired of doing our things.
I felt guilty. I walked downstairs to see what happened. When I entered the living room, I saw Gideon sitting on the sofa, and he couldn’t sit still. He was full of anger, while Elaine cried quietly next to her in Sloane’s arms.
They all looked at me.
“What did you do to Seth?”
Elaine just laid back her head onto Sloane’s shoulder. Sloane looked at me and with her gaze and with her countenance she showed me I missed a horrible scene.
“Dad, we have to go to Riccardo. We have to take everyone with us and get Alice out of there.”
Gideon told me that with obvious anger.

“Gideon, I will not risk many people’s lives for a girl who probably doesn’t want to come back. Calm down, and move on.
“How can you tell this to me? Alice belongs to me. She must be with me. She is part of our family, remember?
05:50
“No Gideon, now you are wrong. She probably belongs to the Italians. And let’s be honest, son. You bought her to kill her first, and we all know that she is a smart young lady.”
He didn’t know, but how he looked at me made me feel like I was a horrible
parent. But I had no choice.
“She loves me.” Gideon shouted, nearly out of his mind.
“Calm down Gideon, for sake.” I shouted at him.
“Enough.” We both turned to look at Elaine, who shouted this time at us,
