“Why should I be so fixated on what I gain or lose here? Jenna thought, suppressing her frustration 

Mr. Jasper Sr. let out a cold hum, pulling out a handkerchief from his pocket and meticulously wiping the bracelet. The sight made Jenna feel utterly humiliated All she wanted was to leave as quickly as possible 

“I’ve returned the bracelet. I’ll head out now,” she said, her voice soft and gaze tender as she looked at 

Hunter. 

“Till walk you out,” Hunter offered. 

“That’s not necessary. Stay and spend more time with your grandfather, Jenna replied, though she secretly hoped he would accompany her 

But as long as this stubborn old man was around, any attention Hunter showed her would only worsen the situation. She was pregnant, counting on staying in the Jasper family for a comfortable future Antagonizing Mr. Jasper Sr. would do her no good.

Hunter frowned, “Why do you always put others before yourself? Can’t you stand up for yourself a bit?
