"Yueyue, I will be honest with you. I have never been involved with women before. You are the only one I have ever liked, and ever since then I have never paid attention to any other women. I don’t know a lot of things but if you tell me, I am willing to listen."
Bai Meiyue watched the water slowly fill the bathtub and arched a brow. She curled her lips and said to the man, "You sure know how to boast. You mean to say that you never had a crush when you were a teenager? How do you expect me to believe such a thing? We never even met before that night—"
Lei Qian shook his head and then very seriously looked up at her. "I have liked you since I was ten. Ofurse, I won’t say that I liked you as a woman but I did have a subtle affection for you ever since the first time we met."
"We met when you were ten years old?"
"That’s right," Lei Qian nodded. At the same time, he felt a bit upset. He had been carrying a candle for Bai Meiyue ever since he was a child but this heartless woman didn’t even remember him. "The two of us met at the set of that nineties movie."
Bai Meiyue blinked her eyes and suddenly fell into a deep thought. It wasn’t her fault. For Lei Qian, not many years had passed but for her, a life time had passed since she shot that ad. It took Bai Meiyue a very long time to remember which ad Lei Qian was talking about.
Her eyes widened and she turned to look at the man kneeling at her feet. "You are that cry baby, big brother?"
In all her life, there were only a few people who left a mark in her memories.
One of them was the crybaby whom she met on the set of a movie. The boy was older than her but he was really good-looking and looked like a girl. Because of this, he was teased by a bunch of brats and was reduced to tears.
She didn’t know what made the quarrel explode but the poor boy was suppressed under the pile of brats; in the end, it was her who rushed in and pulled the boy out while standing up for him.
She didn’t recall what she said to those boys; all she knew was that they backed off after that. Ofurse it must be because she was the main star of that movie and those little boys were just her backdrops. They must have been scared that she would kick them off, so they left the crybaby alone.
After that, Bai Meiyue had to spend quite some time tomfort that older brother.
Back then, the little boy was indeed quite taken by her. He didn’t let her go of her hand as long as the two of them were together on the set. And on the last day of his scenes, the boy cried as if the world wasming to an end.
In the end, Bai Meiyue had to promise that she would see him soon. Ofurse, it was doomed to be broken because her father didn’t let her go out of the house.
She never thought that the crybaby big brother was Lei Qian.
After all, his aunt always called him ’Qian Qian;’ she never used the Lei family’s name, which made it impossible for Bai Meiyue tonnect this tall and muscular man with that crybaby.
