She sighed and then walked towards the two before patting them on their backs.

"She should be relieved now, right?" Liu Mei asked in a broken voice. "I know that she didn't want to stay alive after our dad died. She wanted to follow him the day he turned into a zombie."

"It is only for me and Ah Che that she held on for so long."

Liu Mei's voice was filled with distress and pain. And as for Liu Che, his pain was beyond words. His eyes were red, swollen and puffy as he stared at the tombstone.

After a long pause, he said in a hoarse voice, "Sister Meiyue, we will be fine on our own. You don't have to worry about us."

He knew that if they joined Bai Meiyue and her team, then they would only become a burden on them. They were neither ability users nor did they have any use when it came to hunting zombies.
