Bai Meiyue frowned when she heard someone calling her worriedly. She scrunched up her eyes before opening them. At first, she didn't understand what was going on because by the time she realised where she was, Bai Meiyue felt like her heart was going to stop.

"What—what happened?" She tried to sit up straight. But she was pushed down by Bai Zhan, who turned to look at the door of her room. She then heard him say, "Doctor Shen, Yueyue is awake!"

He then turned to look at her and said, "You stay here and don't go anywhere."

After he finished speaking, he rushed out of the room without telling Bai Meiyue what was going on. She, on the other hand, raised her hand and rubbed her temples. For some reason, Bai Meiyue felt like she had been gone from her world for years and years. But when she raised her hand and pressed it down on her abdomen, she realised that her son was still in her womb.

Bai Meiyue heaved a sigh of relief.

The sound of footsteps echoed outside her room, and a second later, her mother came rushing inside with her second brother.

"Yueyue! Oh, thank goodness!" Mother Bai threw herself into Bai Meiyue's arms and hugged her tightly. These days, she felt like her heart was about to jump out of her chest. Fortunately for her, her daughter woke up, or else she was worried that she would end up going crazy.

"What!?" Bai Meiyue raised her head in surprise. She asked in a hurry, "Mom, are you joking with me?" She thought that her mother was teasing her because she woke up late, but her question only made her mother roll her eyes at her and say,

"Do you think I will joke about something so serious with you?"

She then said to Bai Meiyue, "Do you have any idea what your brothers and I went through when we saw you unconscious without responding? Out of our minds with worry! And yet you have the nerve to laugh at us?"
