Bai Meiyue was filled with satisfaction when she saw her brother awaken.

That ring was made from special elements, which meant that it was much stronger and sturdier than the gold bracelet.

He fisted his fingers and brought it down the head of the zombie that was about to take a bite of Bai Meiyue’s neck.

"Stay back; brother will deal with these monsters," he told Bai Meiyue.

Hearing her brother’s words, Bai Meiyue paused, and her eyes started to sting slightly. How she had longed to hear those words in her past life. But no one was willing to care for her. Now that she heard her brother say that he would protect her, Bai Meiyue felt her heart feel both sour and happy.
