The crowd started dispersing soon and only Jean and Moore were standing.

Moore watched as Jean stood there motionless. He could not help but worry about her. He ran towards her.

"Jean..." As soon as Moore spoke, he saw Jean trembling. At last, she couldn't hold it all in and collapsed to the ground.

"Jean?" Moore was shocked and rushed towards her to hold her in his arms.

Looking at her, he saw her pale face and her eyes staring into space.

"Jean!" Moore felt a terrible pain in his heart and he cried out,"What's wrong with you? Is it serious? Hold on, I'll take you to the doctor right away. Please hold on for me."

As soon as he finished speaking, Moore picked up Jean and started running.

"Moore..." Jean called out his name weakly. Her eyes slowly focused on Moore's face, and with a bitter smile, she said,"I'm all right. Quickly let me down! You are still injured."

"You are as light as a feather. I can hold you easily. Don't worry about me. You almost scared me to death, Jean." Moore didn't let go of Jean and hurried towards her ward.

In her room, Moore gently placed her on the bed. As he himself had not recovered yet, he was exhausted and sweaty.

"Moore, I'm sorry to worry you like this." Jean looked at Moore and apologized gently.

"It's nothing, don't worry about me, but are you really all right?" Moore asked worriedly. "I should get a doctor so that he can examine you."

"Thank you so much. You really shouldn't bother. I have gotten a little weak and that is why I collapsed. I feel much better now." Jean shook her head and exhaled softly.

Moore was relieved after hearing what Jean said. He felt the pain in his heart vanishing slowly.

"Jean, you should take care of yourself from now on. Don't be hard on yourself for that unworthy man. Do you understand?" Moore said encouragingly.

Hearing Moore mention what just happened in the corridor, Jean could not help but look at him in silence. She felt helpless.

At first, she had thought that she will avoid Zed at all cost because he was the one who was causing all the disturbance.

What she didn't know was that what was wrong with Moore today. How could he even give Jean a nudge when Zed passed by? Then when Zed ignored her, Moore stopped him. When Moore heard Zed say things that hurt her, he was even ready to fight Zed.

Why was he acting so silly? Even if he was okay now, he couldn't handle Zed's bodyguards.

She really didn't know what Moore was thinking back then.

Preoccupied with these thoughts, Jean's face looked helpless and she was in shock. Seeing her expression, Moore immediately guessed as to what she must be thinking. He started apologizing with embarrassment,"I'm sorry, I was too impulsive today. I wanted to help you, but in the end, I only got you in trouble. I thought there was still a chance for you and Zed to be together, so I did what I could."

Hearing his words, Jean woke up and saw his embarrassment. She couldn't help but shake her head and said,"It's not your fault. I knew this day would come sooner or later. You just made me see his true self a little earlier than I had expected. Never again will I have any hope for him,"

Jean said.

"Jean..." Moore knew that Jean couldn't help but never forget Zed. Seeing her sad and even heartbroken at that moment made him sad. "It will go away. Everything will go away eventually."

Jean nodded and said,"I know." She did not want Moore to worry about her anymore, so she answered with a forced smile. "Moore, don't be like this in the future. Your main goal is to heal first, not to create more problems for yourself."
