'Gee! She must think I and Avery are in a relationship.
No wonder Jean was so excited last night. What is even worse is the fact that she misled Avery into thinking something really inappropriate. It was her little trick.
Oh, God!
Avery and Jean! I now have to face two women at the same time!'
Moore screamed inwardly as he thought of facing them together daily.
Moore knew that if they got together, they were capable of doing anything.
Deep down, Moore felt upset and a bit sour.
'Jean never gave me the chance to explain it and insisted on taking Avery home with us. Is it because Jean wants me and Avery to get together so she asked Avery to stay at her house?
But I don't love Avery at all. Do you know what I feel, Jean? Are you trying to push me towards another woman?
If what I am thinking is true then what should I do?
Is there any way to refuse her? Will she get disappointed after I refuse her?
If I don't want to let Jean down, I will have to accept it...' Moore thought.
Moore felt frustrated as he didn't know what to do. Suddenly, Avery snapped him out of his thoughts.
"Moore, how could you say there is nothing to talk about our college life?" asked Avery as she looked at Moore.
"I don't think there is anything special to tell Jean!" Moore said intensely. "I just used to attend classes and that's it!"
Jean was surprised as she heard what Moore said. 'He was a bookworm back in college.
No wonder he is such a dork and dull person!' thought Jean.
"You used to get straight A's in college, and you even got your PhD degree in college. You really were something! How can you forget the belle 's confession to you? This happened during the first semester in college when you were a fresher, and the belle was the most beautiful and popular girl in the school. How can you forget your piano performance at the anniversary party? Your performance was perfect and it was the talk of the campus for many days," said Avery.
Jean's eyes widened as Avery said that. Jean was surprised. She screamed out, "Gee! You really are something, Moore! I never thought you would've been so popular in college! You were a real heartthrob for young girls back to college years, Moore!" Jean looked at Moore and praised him.
"Heartthrob? Nonsense! That's all bullshit!" Moore protested as he stared at Jean angrily.
Jean stopped talking and stuck out her tongue playfully as she realized that Moore was unhappy.
Deep inside, she murmured, 'I never knew he was so good. Why didn't he tell me this before?
What kind of a friend are you, Moore? I have to confront you about this later!
On the other hand, Avery regretted saying anything about Moore's college life because she realized that Jean knew nothing about Moore's past.
She didn't know why Moore hadn't told Jean his college life.
Avery thought for a little while and understood the reason. 'Those are not honour for him, instead they are troubles.
He never likes to show off which is why he rejected the belle years ago. If he had wanted to satisfy his vanity, he would have accepted her love.
To many people, having a popular girlfriend is always the best way to show off.
Now Jean knows how good Moore is, she will love him more, ' thought Avery.
"Avery, I think you are even more beautiful than that belle, aren't you?" said Jean as she looked at Avery. She didn't want to irritate Moore so she changed the topic.
"No, the belle was more beautiful than me!" Avery shook her head and smiled bitterly.
Back in college, Moore had rejected the belle and it became the talk of the campus. Before long, the belle left after she graduated.
This event caused a sensation on campus.
