After chatting with Tina for a while, Lily went downstairs. She didn't see somebody in the living room, and she heard someone was cutting the vegetables in the kitchen.

She smiled and walked to the door of the kitchen. Sure enough, she saw Kerr cutting the vegetables.

"Uncle Kerr, you do a good job!" Lily joked as she walked up to Kerr.

"Of course. I cut for decades." He was not modest at all.

Lily smiled. She was used to this, so she changed the subject. "Where is Andrew? I didn't see him."

"He is in his own room." Kerr answered without raising his head.

"Okay." Lily nodded and continued, "I heard a lot from brother Andrew today. Uncle Kerr, I don't have any stand-by about what you have done, but I do appreciate you, thank you for your love for my mother, all the things you have done for her, and thank you for taking care of me. I know that even if I don't agree, you won't give up your pursuit, but you care about my opinion very much now. You respect me, and love me. So I have no reason to hinder you from finding your own happiness."

Hearing this, Kerr stopped, looked up at her and said, "Lily, I know you are a sensible child. Although you have no objection to me being with your mother, that's only because you want her to find her own happiness. But what I want is more than that. I want to protect you and your mother, and to become your father."
