Chapter 162
Mikayla thought of admiring herself in the mirror, but her hair was a mess.
Her face was relatively clean, but there were remnants of makeup around the corners of
her eye.
She had fallen asleep in the car last night, and it must’ve been Jerome who carried her to
her room.
He had no idea how to remove makeup and had only wiped her face with a towel.
Even so, Mikayla still found it somewhat unbelievable.
When Jerome came to the bar last night, he was clearly in a bad mood.
It was already good enough that he didn’t interrogate her sternly, but to have patience to
clean her face?
But there was nothing to be grateful for.
She had taken care of him when he was drunk.
She wiped his face, hands, and even helped him undress-
Her clothes!
Mikayla suddenly realized that she was wearing pajamas!
Did Jerome also change her clothes for her?
Mikayla was angry and wanted to call Jerome.
The moment she turned, she noticed a suspicious red mark on the back of her neck.
She paused.
She lifted her hair and examined it carefully.
The red mark was about the size of a thumb.
It wasn’t very noticeable because her hair covered it.
But, with some light shining on it, it was quite eye–catching.
Mikayla frowned and touched it.
It was neither painful nor Itchy.
Although she had never gotten one, she had seen her roommate with a hickey left by her boyfriend.
It was a deep red circle that couldn’t be covered by concealer, and pressing on it would cause a slight pain.
But this was clearly not that.
Mikayla breathed a sigh of relief.
It was probably just a bug bite.
Jerome wouldn’t stoop so low as to take advantage of her while she was drunk.
As for the pajamas…
Mikayla went downstairs.
She asked, “Amy, did you change my clothes for me last night?”
Amy, who was cleaning up the dining table, replied, “Yes, Madam. You were too drunk to wake up last night, so Sir asked me to change your clothes.”
Mikayla was relieved.
Fortunately, she hadn’t called Jerome, or she would’ve been mocked.
“Thank you, Amy.”
After confirming, Mikayla went upstairs to take a bath and wash her hair.
She didn’t notice that Amy felt so guilty that she never lifted her head.
At Jerome’s office.
Connor’s project proposal was successfully approved today.
He was in a very good mood.
He sat next to Jerome and said, “Jerome, we haven’t been to a bar in a while. How about
going tonight?”
