Soon after, Connor came to the ward. 

“Mikayla, Jay has finished his checkup. He accompanied you all night, so I asked him to rest at my place first.” 

She nodded. 

“Mikayla, Jay got hit on his waist. The doctor said he’d better stay in the hospital for a few days. But he’s too busy to rest. The doctor prescribed him some medicine to activate blood flow and alleviate pain. He needs to apply it and massage his waist every day.” 

Was Connor hinting at her to help Jerome apply the medicine? 

Mikayla smiled and pointed to her shoulder. “Unfortunately, my shoulder was injured. I can’t use much force, so I can’t help him.” 

In her previous life, Jerome pushed her and injured her lumbar spine. It took her half a month to recover. He had only bumped into the table. His injury wasn’t that 

serious. 

Connor changed the topic. “He won’t bother you. His injury is on his waist. He can apply the medicine himself. But it might be inconvenient for you to massage your shoulder. Why don’t you let Jay help you?” 

Mikayla refused. “No need. Amy will come back tomorrow. She can help me.” 

He paused for a while before apologizing, “Mikayla, please don’t take what I’ve said to you too seriously. I always talk nonsense.” 

She didn’t take it to heart at all.

“I see. I’ll let her know when she comes tomorrow.”

She returned his words to him. “I don’t think we’ll contact each other in the future. So there’s no need to exchange our contact information.” 

Connor never expected Mikayla to be so vengeful.
