Back in Time: Unshackling From Love (Mikayla Davidson) novel Chapter 93

Mikayla found Jerome’s gaze and question peculiar. Taking a cautious step back, she countered, Why

would I be upset?”

Then why didn’t you come home?Jerome demanded

What did he mean by not coming home? Did he think that they were some loveydovey, inseparable

couple

Mikayla grumbled in her heart that he should be the one counting the days since he last came home after their wedding. 16

Not wanting to argue with Jerome about this, she rolled her eyes and walked over to the dining table

where the maid had set out breakfast

As Mikayla poured herself a cup of milk, Jerome casually requested, Pour me a glass too.”

Are your hands for nothing?Mikayla retorted

Jerome gritted his teeth. You used to pour me glasses of milk and send me food. Was that all just an act

Mikayla seethed with anger at his mention of the past

In a burst of anger, she exclaimed, What, am I only supposed to keep kissing your ass? I’ve had enough

okay!”

Jerome felt a sharp sting from her hurtful words and responded, Why are you so ticked off in the

mornings?”

I wouldn’t be if your stupid face didn’t show up!Mikayla shot back.

Holding back the frustration in his heart, Jerome added, It’s one thing not to come home, but you could

at least reply to my messages.”

Why did you text me? Mikayla huffed. She didn’t even have the time to check her phone yesterday

Jerome tried his best to remain patient as he explained, It was Mr. White’s birthday yesterday

Since he used to take care of me, I thought I should show him some appreciation. That’s why I asked Kylie to bring him some vitamin supplements.”

Mikayla scoffed silently

Jerome seemed quite fond of the Whites. Not only did he join Kylie on her birthday, but he also sent birthday gifts to her dad

Uninterested, she remarked, Why are you telling me this? I’m not interested.”

Jerome countered with displeasure, So why the sudden change in your attitude? I’ve said it before, if youhave any issues, just talk to me instead of doing weird and pointless stunts.”

Mikayla suddenly blurted out, It’s definitely not as weird as finding you taking a shower at another women’s house in the middle of the night!”

Jerome couldn’t help but frown at her words; this was the second time she brought up the shower issue.. He asked, When did I ever shower at someone else’s place?”

Angered by his persistent denial, Mikayla whipped out her phone and showed him the picture. See for yourselfi”
