At the same time, Freddie walked out of a high-end club in the capital, exhausted.
He rubbed his forehead and walked to his car, about to open the door when a voice suddenly sounded beside him.
"Mr. Shaw, do you have time to talk?"
It was a low and magnetic voice that sounded like a cello in the quiet surroundings and amidst the red and green lights of the club.
Freddie's hand paused before opening the car door, and then he smirked sarcastically without immediately looking up. He lit a cigarette for himself, took a deep drag, and then raised his head to look at the source of the voice.
At the entrance of a narrow alley, under dim lighting, a tall figure leaned against the wall. Even through the mess on the ground, his imposing aura was hard to conceal.
Freddie clenched the cigarette in his mouth and stared fixedly at the constantly changing face. "Who are you?"
The Shaw family had long since fallen, and no one in the capital would take them seriously anymore. Even if they did, it would only be to insult and trample on them. Freddie was already accustomed to this.
The man's tone remained unchanged. "I am Robert Hall, from the Central City."
Upon hearing the words "Central City", Freddie's defeated expression brightened slightly, and he gazed at the face in the darkness. "A distinguished guest from Central City has come to find the Shaw family. What do you want?"
The man walked out of the darkness, wearing a white shirt with a black suit jacket, looking as elegant as any aristocrat who had just left a party. His face was sharp and angular, and he was handsome and refined.
Robert smiled at Freddie. "My lady has lost something in the capital, and it has a close relationship with Mr. Shaw. I was ordered to come and ask for it back."
Freddie's mind raced, and he immediately guessed what the other person was talking about. He gritted his teeth. "The 'Sacred Pearl' is currently in the research institute, under the personal supervision of the Turner family's young miss. I cannot return it to you."
Robert fixed his gaze on Freddie's eyes. "As long as Mr. Shaw can return the 'Sacred Pearl', I can promise you any request unconditionally."
Freddie sneered. "What do you want to say?"
Robert smiled. "There is a rumor that a mechanic in H Country has shut down the 'Sacred Pearl'. I just want to ask her to reopen it. It has been three months since the last time it was opened, and the hibernation period of the 'Sacred Pearl' has already ended. As long as it is opened once more, it can quietly put to rest the people that both you and I want dead, the people who should have disappeared long ago."
At the mention of Diana, Freddie's expression twisted slightly.
The Shaw family placed all their bets on Diana, but she failed to create any favorable value. If it weren't for the decline of the Shaw family's status and Diana being locked up in the research institute, Freddie would have torn her to pieces in anger.
Freddie sneered, "I'm afraid you will be disappointed. That woman doesn't have the ability to activate the 'Sacred Pearl'!"
After all this time, Diana had made no progress.
Freddie was almost certain that the foolish Diana could not activate the "Sacred Pearl" at all!
Robert shook his head. "Miss Barrett just made a mistake in a certain step. As long as we remind her, she will succeed."
Freddie suddenly froze, his pupils shrinking imperceptibly. "Are you sure, Mr. Hall?"
Robert smiled. "Of course."
Freddie clenched his fingers and fell silent, lost in thought.
