Leah stared in disbelief at the suddenly appearing luxury cars and bodyguards, her sharp nails embedded deep into her hands, the deep colour under her eyes growing heavier and heavier.

She was certain almost instantly that the person who had come to Selena’s rescue was not Luke. Rather, it was the man who had spent 500 million on the auction floor to buy diamonds for Selena!

That was the first time in her life that Leah had lost to Selena, and it was to be remembered vividly.

A man who can spend half a billion and buy a diamond for the woman he has his eye on, how much must he have?

She looked at the black-clad bodyguards who were beating the reporters without mercy. These men were professionally trained, quick and ruthless, and not at all afraid of getting people killed.

Leah remembered again the hand that she had seen resting on the railing during a glimpse at the auction site.

The man’s hands were slender, he was dignified, with a heavy touch of demonic aura.

Leah’s palms were hot and her heart inexplicably warmed up. She stood in place for a moment, a dark light flickering under her eyes, and then a moment later she suddenly lifted her skirt and ran towards Selena with an anxious face against the crowd.

Before she could run to the car, she was blocked by the black-clad bodyguards on the periphery.

Leah gasped and bit her lip, her eyes fell on the car where Selena was, her eyes soft and forlorn, but underneath they hid a sharpness that seemed to pierce through the glass to see what was inside.
