When she got home and entered the house, Waverly noticed the car behind her. Although there was a distance, she was well aware of the fact that the car had followed her all the way back.
Without turning around or searching for traces of the car, she hurried to her room with a smile. She turned on the light, picked up the phone, and sent a message to Wyatt.
"Since I'm charged, I won't fall into insomnia tonight. I'm going to sleep. Good night!"
In front of the door, Wyatt's eyes seemed to be able to melt the moonlight when he turned off the car engine and typed a reply. "I'll help you replenish your energy at any time. Have a good night's sleep!"
When he tapped on the send button, every single one of his nerves felt as though they were comfortably stimulated. Wyatt caressed the corner of his lips and could not help releasing a faint laugh. "Haha!"
She was such a troublesome elf. Though she caused him trouble, his mind lingered with her figure.
In his mind resurfaced the scene of her visit in the middle of the night, her running out of the house in a fit, and her waiting at the door for him, not to mention she complained that he was being too slow. With a smirk, Wyatt's entire body relaxed.
Had she always been so cute since young?
All the ups and downs of the evening were replaced by joy. No one knew how long the giggles in the car at the door lasted. When he started his car engine once more, the surrounding night had long been silent and deep...
Their relationship gradually got closer as they were often seen together. Even if there were minor conflicts, it seemed that there was no gap between them. After getting along with each other for some time, Wyatt came to a general understanding that as long as he gave him a loving hug, 80% of the problems could be solved. Although he did not understand why she loved hugs, an embrace was indeed the best medicine for absolute healing.
On that day, the two made an appointment for dinner together. Not only did Wyatt dislike her favorite white car, but he had also accidentally scraped it. Waverly's face was long all the way with her eyes almost rolled to the sky.
Wyatt bought her a cup of her favorite milk tea, but when he saw that she remained ignoring him, he could only reach out and hug her once more. "Alright, don't get mad. I didn't do it on purpose! When we get back, shall we pick a better white car for you?"
He had knocked into her shabby car, so she was sulking.
"Would it still be my precious car if I change it into another vehicle? I wonder if you did it on purpose or was unintentional. How could you have run into the railing while driving?"
Who would believe his words when the accident caused her car to leak its engine oil and be towed away? It was no wonder that he had been so eager to help her park her car. He was determined to leave her without a car, wasn't he?
He was full of bad ideas!
It must be revenge for her not getting into his car and refusing to visit his mansion!
"That's enough. That's enough. I was wrong. It's all my fault! Can't I pay for my mistakes by treating you to a scrumptious meal? I promise you that the car will be restored to its original state soon!"
Her car's configuration was indeed low-graded, but he wondered how she took a fancy to it and loved the car that much! As he thought about it, Wyatt thought he could take the opportunity to upgrade her car. Living in a mansion and driving a banger, Wyatt didn't know what she was thinking when the main point was that she had no lack of decent vehicles!
In fact, men's and women's thoughts, preferences, and requirements of cars were different. Waverly felt that cars were nothing more than a tool for transportation. In addition, her driving skills were worrying, so she would often run into minor accidents in cases where her car would be scratched against a railing. It was something she often encountered. She drove frequently to and got off work, so she did not feel sorry for having scraped a cheap car. In addition, she was fond of the car she had chosen. It was smooth as well. Since she changed into her current car, there were rarely problems, so she had always liked it.
Little did she know that the car was in decline, although there was nothing wrong with her driving skills. It was either knocked into on the road, or Wyatt drove the car to bump into anything!
Side- eying him, Waverly was rendered speechless. Could it be that her cars were destined to clash?
Her heart ached.
"Would you like hot pot? The local chillis are famous. They are most suitable for those who love spicy food and want to add to its spiciness..."
Nodding, Waverly rolled her eyes at him.
"Sure. You're the best at adding spiciness and fuel to the fire..."
They teased each other as they entered the shopping mall. At the elevator, their inadvertent gaze caught sight of a familiar figure that suddenly appeared. While Waverly was repulsed by the path the figure took, she took the initiative to grab a corner of Wyatt's clothes and leaned a few steps closer to him.
Sensing her movements, he followed her line of sight in looking over. When he saw it was Qurina, Wyatt's eyes lit up. He could feel Waverly's love, care, and jealousy. He hugged her and kissed her on her forehead without hiding back.
Without deliberately greeting her, they entered the elevator. By the time they exchanged glances, their faces were full of deep affection for each other.
In the distinctive hot pot restaurant, they enjoyed a beautiful meal and brushed past Qurina by chance. Instead, the encounter solved the slightly tied knots in their hearts. After the meal, they walked around the shopping mall. The noisy atmosphere did not reduce along with the darkening of the night but seemed to grow stronger. As soon as they stood at the guardrail office, the crowd around the building came into sight.
