Ita Valley is one of the valleys on this island and is not completely open to the public.
Normally, it only accommodates talents above Grade B or successful individuals with assets exceeding one billion.
If neither of these criteria is met, one can only enter as a guest accompanied by a member.
All of this was explained to Qiao Sang by Billet on their way here.
"Your situation is an exception," Billet said as they walked. "Your information should already be registered, and the staff must have memorized your appearance in advance. You won’t need to say anything; someone will guide you in shortly."
The threshold is so high... Qiao Sang mused, then casually asked, "Have you been here before?"
Billet grunted an acknowledgment, "I’ve been here once."
Then he found out that spending a single day here cost him two months’ salary, so he never returned.
"Is it fun inside?" Qiao Sang asked.
"Just so-so," Billet replied.
No matter how fun it might be, when paired with the cost, it ceases to be enjoyable.
Qiao Sang was just about to ask something else.
At that moment, Billet stopped walking and glanced at a winding glass building ahead, saying:
"We’re here. This is the service center of Ita Valley."
With that, he stepped into the glass building first.
Qiao Sang hastily lifted her foot to follow. As she crossed the front door and entered the hall, she suddenly felt a faintly perceptible gaze fall upon her from the void.
"Ya!"
The Yaobao in her arms seemed to sense this too, immediately exhibiting a vigilant expression as it looked up.
"What’s wrong?" Billet asked, stopping in his tracks and glancing back.
Qiao Sang furrowed her brows, "It feels like someone is spying on me."
Indeed, spying—not just peeking.
As a Beast Tamer of rising fame, Qiao Sang was accustomed to feeling covert glances in her direction, but this sensation was different.
To have brain domain development exceeding thirty percent grants such keen perception... Billet was slightly surprised and chuckled:
"Don’t worry about it. That’s the sensory detection skill of a Mechanical Beast. On Chao Su Star, places with stricter access controls often employ such skills through Mechanical Beasts."
"These locations pre-load requirements for entrants into the Mechanical Beast’s sensory skill program. Those who don’t meet the criteria will be escorted out."
"Ya."
Yaobao understood and relaxed, withdrawing its gaze.
So there’s a skill like this... Qiao Sang’s curiosity was piqued, "What about someone who’s never been here before? With no prior information, how does it know if the person meets the criteria?"
"If they’ve never been here, then they don’t meet the criteria," Billet said. "That means staff will come by shortly."
No sooner had he said this than a staff member in a sharp uniform, looking about twenty-seven years old, approached briskly with a respectful demeanor and said:
"Miss Qiao Sang, the Energy Pool has been prepared for you. Please, allow me to guide you."
Qiao Sang shot Billet a glance.
Billet coughed lightly and added, "What I meant was, the staff will come to register and check newcomers who don’t meet the criteria. If they qualify after inspection, there’s no issue. Your information must have been pre-registered."
"What Mr. Billet says is correct," the staff member confirmed, perfectly pronouncing Billet’s name.
Evidently, their information had already been identified the moment they stepped through the door by the Mechanical Beast.
The staff member led the way, explaining Ita Valley as they went:
"We have every type of facility related to Pet Beasts here. While your Pet Beast is in the Energy Bathing Pool later, you can explore and experience them."
What? Experience everything? How much would that cost? Billet immediately wanted to decline on Qiao Sang’s behalf, "Experience—"
The staff member continued, "Because of the Honor Ring, all the activities you experience here today are free of charge."
Qiao Sang turned to Billet. "Teacher, what were you just about to say?"
Billet paused, "Experience is good. You should properly try out all the various activities here."
The staff member adeptly guided them through the glass building, past a forest dense with various resting Pet Beasts, and to an area clearly enclosed by a semi-transparent Barrier.
Outside the Barrier was a virtual screen. Nearby lay a lion-like Pet Beast with golden fur, two curved horns on its head, its eyes shut, and wearing a Mini Shrinking Bracelet.
Suddenly, a mechanical voice with a tone similar to Xun Xun’s rang out:
"Let me see... Jiema Lion, Psychic Series King Level Pet Beast. It loves to sleep; even when disturbed, it remains unfazed. But don’t assume it’s harmless just because it’s asleep. Keep in mind, skills it uses in its dreams will manifest in reality... Ah! This is a dangerous opponent... no! I advise you not to consider it an opponent!"
The three of them turned their gazes in the same direction.
"Xun Xun~"
The little Xun Bao shut its mouth, retracted the Pet Beast Identifier, and vanished again.
