The Tannend the Truth Lett
The Torment the Truth Left
Klay’s POV
“Why don’t you use your father’s resources to get the woman you want, Mr. Carver? If you order your men to capture her, she’ll be here in a day.”
I shook my head and sighed. “She’s no ordinary woman. She’s very important to me and I don’t wannal hurt her more. All I want is for her to accept me again.”
“The organization is willing to do everything, Sir. Just tell us and we’ll kill the person who’s stealing your girl.”
I gritted my teeth and glared at them. “Do you want her to hate me all my life? I want her to forgive me and you’re telling me to kill the person important to her?”
They
all looked down and apologized. I gritted my teeth and balled my fists. I had no choice but to go back to my father’s headquarters. After I successfully dethroned and killed him, I inherited all his
properties and even his mafia organization. I didn’t want this before but now I’ve seen the use of having
such a powerful organization. This organization will protect me.
The door swung open, one of my guards entered and bowed his head. “Mr. Carver, the private investigator came here and gave this. We already examined it from a possible threat, Sir,”
Tignored what he said and snatched the brown envelope before I went back to the couch. I opened it and threw the envelope on the floor.
I used my father’s resources and connection to investigate. I will prove to Kelly that his father killed my mom and I have the right to get mad and avenge my mother.
The report was a copy of the investigation done by two parties. My forehead creased after I realized that Mr. Monroe, Kelly’s father, conducted his own investigation. The other report was a copy of an investigation done by my biological father’s party.
“What the fck is this?” I gritted my teeth and compared the two reports.
My biological father’s investigation report stated that the bullet that killed my mom was from Mr. Monroe’s gun but Mr. Monroe’s investigation report stated that an unknown bullet was the one that killed my mother.
I sucked my breath and balled my fists. No…No…
“Give me the sample of the bullet that only this organization has,” I said to my consigliere with clenched jaws.
My heart was racing while staring at the two different reports. One was obviously tampered and I feel like it was the investigation of my biological father.
I remembered the day I dethroned and killed him. Before he lost his life, he admitted to me that Mr. Monroe was the one who killed my mom. He told me that he managed to convinced mom to come back
AMD him and that Mr. Monroe couldn’t let my mom go so he just killed her.
Iswallowed hard as I looked at the bullet my consigliere landed on my palm.
My lips parted as I looked at the photo of the bullet that was included in Mr. Monroe’s investigation.
1 slowly balled my fists, wanting to crush the bullet in my palm as my mind went blank and everything turned red.
My biological father was the one who killed my mom. It wasn’t Mr. Monroe. It wasn’t Kelly’s dad. I–I

blamed the wrong person. I…tormented the wrong person.
“BULLSHIT!” I shouted and started throwing everything that my hand reached.
Anger was overpowering me and I can only think about the greatest mistake I made. I…I blamed the wrong person. I hurt Kelly for nothing. She has the right to hate me. I…was wrong. I was stupid!
I continued shouting and throwing everything until I landed on my knees as I grabbed my hair and so much frustration.
“FCK!” I shouted again and shook my head. “Kelly… Kelly, I’m s–sorry.”
How can I… face her now?

I was eating fruits when Emily entered the condo unit. Her eyes immediately landed on me and she walked towards me. She sat beside me and picked a slice of apple from my bowl. I glanced at the wall clock before I landed my eyes back to her.
“You seem busy. Where were you?”
She shrugged her shoulders and munched the apple. “Dad’s company.
I nodded. “How’s your dad?”
She shook her head. I don’t think he can still recover.”
I stared at her face, worried. “Will you be okay?”
She smirked. “Why won’t I be? The roc anyone.”
“He’s still your father.”
my hardships is finally suffering, Kelly. I’m happy more than
She clenched her jaws and rage flickered in her eyes. “He was never a father to me. I was his possession. A puppet he wanted to control and because he couldn’t, he believed I was a rebel and tormented me.”
I pressed my lips together. I don’t know her whole story but I feel like it would break me if I heard it.
Emily sighed and crossed her legs, resting her back on the backrest as she lifted her face and stared at the ceiling.
“How’s your plan going?” I asked, talking about his plans with Matt.
The corner of her lips rose. “Your cousin is easier to manipulate than I expected, Kelly. He’s now investigating.”
My lips formed an o. It would be hard for Matt to investigate his own family but Emily managed to make him do that. I wonder what she did.
“How did you do it?”
She looked at me, a devilish smirk was on her lips. “I don’t wanna spoil my plans. I want everything to be real, Kelly. So he won’t suspect that it was all planned.
