Moments to Treasure
Kelly’s POV
I smiled at Pierce while the female staff was helping me pick out a wedding gown. He was staring at me intensely. His eyes were soft and full of admiration. I couldn’t help but to feel flush. I felt butterflies in my stomach as well as shivers in my body.
Pierce Anderson. The man who protected me. The man I fell in love with. My first love. My first heartbreak. Who would’ve thought we’ve come this far? I didn’t know that after I left, he’d find me and wait for me. I wasn’t expecting him to wait for me, actually, I readled myself in case I came back that he’s married. But he didn’t marry. He waited for me even without the assurance.
7 like this one,” I said to the staff when I found one.
Pierce walked towards me to look at the gown I chose. He smiled after he saw the design. He turned to me and caressed my shoulder. “That’s the same design you wore when we first got married.”
I chuckled. “You remember my wedding gown?”
He smiled and nodded. “How can I forget the day you said you’ll stay with me forever?”
My heart skipped a beat as I stared at his handsome face. His eyes were looking at me with gentleness. I know deep inside my heart that I always wanted him. Even when we parted ways and then back in each
other’s arms now.
Maybe love is always meant to be complicated. There’s no thing such as a shortcut in love. There are always struggles. There is pain. Heartache. Disappointment. Anger. But on top of it, there’s happiness. There’s light. There’s a happy ending.
“Our next stop is the wedding ring,” I said as Pierce accompanied me out of the shop. He caressed my hand and kissed the back of it before he opened the door of the passenger seat.
“I can’t wait to marry you again,” he whispered and squeezed my hand. He put my seatbelt on before he
went to the driver seat.
We stopped in front of the jewelry shop we hired for the design of the wedding ring we chose. We already picked the design, actually. Now we’re just gonna pick up the rings since the owner called Pierce this morning, saying the ring is ready for pick up.
“Good afternoon, Mr and Mrs. Anderson,” the manager of the jewelry shop, who was waiting for our arrival, greeted us with a smile.
“Good afternoon. We’re gonna pick up our ring.”
Pierce was the one who talked to him while I was looking around. My eyes landed on someone outside. the shop. Standing just a few meters away from Pierce’s car, parked in front of the jewelry shop
I pressed my lips together as I stared back into his eyes. He was silently watching us. He’s wearing a bull cap but I remember every part of his face. A man I once loved.
Klay stared at me for a few seconds before he fixed his bull cap and started walking away. He’s not stalking me, at least I know that. When he apologized to me, I didn’t believe him. When he helped me get away from the man who attempted to hurt me in the mall, I didn’t believe him either.
Speaking of the shooter, he was caught but still not saying anything about who paid him to kill me. I know my life is in danger. That’s why Pierce was always with me. His father actually wanted to hire bodyguards for me, but I fiercely declined because Connor Foster will be alarmed.
Monyet 16 Treature
We had a lot of scheduled appointments for our upcoming wedding so it’s already 6 PM when we got home. The house was unusually silent and it made me nervous.
I glanced at Pierce who’s following me and he looked bothered just like me. I swallowed hard and walked faster, scared that something happened to our family, but as soon as I pushed the double door open, a confetti exploded before my eyes and the light spread all over the living area.
My lips parted after I saw my daughter wearing a party hat, carrying a circular cake and Phoebe’s helping
her.
“Happy birthday to you- Happy birthday to you-
I cupped my mouth as I looked at everyone inside the house. Pierce’s parents, his sister, our daughter, Emily, Yara, Ana, even Mary and her mother Martha are here.”
“Happy birthday, mommy!” Snow ran to me and I immediately landed a kiss on her lips.
“Thank you, pumpkin.”
“Mommy, make a wish!”
I chuckled and nodded at her. I felt Pierce’s hand on my waist as I squeezed my eyes closed and caressed my belly.
“I have nothing to wish for but the safety of the people I love.”
– smiled and blew the candle as I slowly opened my eyes. Everyone clapped their hands and it touched
my heart that they’re all here to greet me.
“It’s good to see you again, Elle–I mean, Kelly,” Martha kissed my cheek and hugged me gently.
I smiled and hugged her back. “Thank you, Martha. I owe you big time.”
I looked at Mary and she wiped her tears while looking at me. “I’m so happy for you, Kelly. You deserve the life and the love that you have.”
