I woke up with throbbing pain all over my body. When I opened my eyes, it was the familiar ceiling of my room back at Titus‘ place that greeted me. I blew a loud sigh of defeat when I realized that I failed to plan to look for my kids.
As I was about to get up from my bed, the door suddenly opened. Then there comes Pantene holding a tray.
“I–I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to disrupt your sleep, my lady,” she said. But I noticed her pale lips and her discomfort.
“It’s fine,” I replied. “Are you okay?” I asked.
She gave me a weak smile before she nodded. “Yes, my lady.”
But I had a feeling that she’s not being truthful. I walked towards her and gently reached her arm but she flinched as soon as my hand touched her arm.
She wrapped her arms around her as if trying to protect herself. “I–I brought your breakfast, my lady. I’ll take my leave. Please call me when you need anything,” she said as she dodged me.
But I didn’t let her leave. I abruptly grabbed her arm, and she immediately hissed in pain. I pulled her sleeve up, and I gasped in horror when I saw the bruises on her wrist as if she was tied tightly.
“What happened to your arm?” I asked worriedly.
“It’s nothing, my lady. I’m totally fine,” she insisted.
“Fine? You call this fine? Who did this to you? Tell me!”
She lowered her eyes when tears threatened to roll down her face. “I–It’s His Majesty, my lady,” she finally answered.
Pantene shook her head, her eyes filled with worry. “Please, my lady, don’t make him angrier. He was already furious when he found out you left. If you go against him now, it will only make things worse.”
I clenched my fists, my nails digging into my palms. The unfairness of it all burned inside me. This wasn’t right. This wasn’t fair.
“No. I need to make this right,” I insisted.
Pantene’s eyes widened in alarm as I took a step toward the door, my body rigid with purpose. I couldn’t just stand by while others paid the price for my choices. If Titus wanted someone to punish, it should be me–not them.
I went straight to Titus‘ room, where he usually has his breakfast. I shoved the heavy doors open, the loud bang echoing through the room. My heart pounded furiously in my chest, but I didn’t care. Pain burned through my leg with every step, but I refused to let it slow me down.
Titus sat at the long dining table, leisurely having his breakfast as if nothing was wrong. A golden goblet sat beside him, the rich aroma of roasted meat and fresh bread filling the air. His expression was calm, composed–completely unbothered.
The sight of him, so relaxed while others suffered because of me, made my blood boil.
“You don’t have to do that!” I hissed, marching toward him. “How could you punish them for something I did?”
He didn’t even look up right away. Instead, he took another slow bite of his food, chewing as if savoring the taste. Only then did he lift his gaze to me, his golden eyes gleaming with amusement.
“Good morning to you too, my lady,” he drawled, dabbing his lips with a napkin. “I see you’ve finally recovered

Chapter 151
I slammed my hands down on the table, making the plates rattle. “Why do you have to do that? They did nothing wrong!” My voice shook with fury. “You had no right-!”
He let out a sigh, leaning back in his chair as he eyed me with lazy amusement. “No right?” he repeated, as if the very idea was absurd to him. “They failed to do their job properly, my lady. You should be grateful I didn’t have them executed for their incompetence.”
I flinched at his words, disgust and anger twisting inside me. “They are doing their job. If there’s someone here at fault, it should have been me!”
His jaw tightened for a brief moment, but he masked it quickly, his smirk returning. “You should have thought of that before you tried to escape, my lady. Everything has consequences.”
My hands trembled, my nails digging into the wood of the table. “You’re a monster,” I whispered under my breath, but he still managed to hear it.
Titus studied me for a long moment, his golden eyes darkening. Then, slowly, he stood, the chair scraping against the marble floor.
He rounded the table, closing the distance between us. I wanted to stand my ground, but my body instinctively tensed as he
came closer.
He reached out, his fingers lightly grazing my cheek before trailing down my neck. “Oh, kitten,” he murmured, voice dangerously soft. “You’ve called me far worse than that.”
My breath hitched as he leaned down, his lips brushing against my ear.
“And punishing you,” he whispered, “is exactly what I plan to do.”
As soon as Titus left the room, the weight of his presence lingered like a suffocating shadow. My legs trembled beneath me, and before I knew it, they gave out. I barely managed to grab onto the edge of the table, my fingers clutching the polished wood for support. My chest rose and fell in deep, shaky breaths, trying to steady myself, trying to push away the lingering sensation of his touch, his voice, his cruel amusement.
I had to leave. I needed to get out of this room before my resolve crumbled any further. Forcing my body to move, I turned toward the door, ready to escape. But just as I took a step forward, the door suddenly burst open with a loud bang.
My breath caught in my throat, my entire body freezing in place.
Two small figures rushed into the room, their tiny feet pounding against the polished floor with frantic urgency. Their wild, desperate energy filled the space, making my pulse hammer against my ribs.
The door shut behind them with a soft click, sealing us inside this moment. They both looked surprised upon seeing me. But those wide little eyes were swollen in tears when they realized what’s happening.
“Mom?” they both called out in unison, their voices hesitant yet filled with hope.
“Mommy!” they cried again, this time more desperate, more certain.

The readers' comments on the novel: Betrayed by an Alpha claimed by a Lycan King (Sage and Titus)
Is it finished?...
...i mean...you had the perfect ending...why keep going?? ugh...i feel like author is going to continue with twists and turns [-_-]...
Don't mean to be rude but half the chapters are missing. As in your only publishing Half the chapter. Not all of it...
Would love more chapters...
ok just as a recap because i'm getting confused with this plot: sage (the daughter of the ex-alpha who was killed for betraying his pack) is contracted to marry the lycan king bc the present alpha doesn't want to give his own daughter to the king. sage sleeps with someone before the wedding (turns out to be the king). there's a caper at the palace where the king doesn't let her look at him bc he wants to keep her guessing for some reason but eventually she finds out that man she slept with is her husband now. there are other concubines and a queen but for some reason titus still doesn't have an heir despite being like thousands of years old. there is a prophecy that a red wolf will destroy the evil inside the king and when it comes to pass titus looks like he dies. sage runs away (she is the red wolf) bc shes scared of being called a killer. when she comes back titus has been manipulated to believe her "sister" is his mate. there's an intermission where sage runs away with her handmaiden to new york and they start a life for themselves. until titus buys out the company bc he's filthy rich and drags her back. the sister gets punished and jailed to be killed, but sage's intervention (due to her previous feelings for the brother) prevents her death. there's a point when the royal elders storm the castle and titus is jailed and almost at the point of death. taking the beta and her handmaiden they rescue titus and restore him to health. while sage was in new york, titus had somehow found his dead wife again (anna?) and she's very childlike and annoying. all the times sage saves titus doesn't matter because he's been deposed as king and brainwashed by his dead wife to believe she's everything to him. titus dissolves the bond between he and sage (bc of pressure from previous wife) but still has feelings for her and still sleeps with her while trying to reclaim his throne by making alliances with other werewolf packs. a bounty hunter offers his help but demands sage as the price. titus says no, but sage goes behind his back anyway and makes the deal. thinking titus is blinded by sage's presence that prevents him from forming alliance with a pack and having that alpha's daughter as his queen, she runs way with the bounty hunter and he puts her up for sale (she's an idiot for doing this). finding out she's pregnant with an accelerated pregnancy (due to blood moon sex?) she runs away from the auction house and is rescued by a couple who never had kids miles away from where she ran away. 3 years or so pass and she is happy with her chosen family until the bounty hunter finds her again and she goes with him to keep him away from her kids only to be rescued by titus at the auction house. he also finds her kids (bc they obvy would run away to find her) but she for some reason convinces them to lie and say they're not her kids. reunited again, they come across rogue wolves who hurt titus, but they somehow all fit into the helicopter that comes at the right time to save them all. titus while being gravely ill still saves sage from being sentenced to death, but now her kids are in danger....
ok now im reinvested! I hope the kids will be ok! titus now would be a good time to wake up!...
If possible, kindly change the title of the book too because Sage is suppose to be happy with Titus but this back and forth is making the book boring...
Please this has to stop , Titus is suppose to be her savior but she's going through too much...
This book really started good. And for whatever reason, the author keeps on adding boring and nonsensical twist to the story. I'm just skipping through chapters and story still the same.repeating issues and conflict and convo. So tiring. I'm just checking in hoping I can read the ending. Lolz...
We need an end soon. It getting boting and is so boring. Also people is missing. Were is her former maid and scott used to be her friend now he treat her like a stranger...
